Country: USA Comments: Dear Jeff, They just starting posting on the internet over the weekend for the role of Mattie. I've sent my headshot/resume to a few casting agencies. I don't have a real agent like UTA or anything yet. My mom & I are trying to figure out how to do that. Do you have any suggestions on how I could stand out for this particular role? I'm reading the book, I ride horses and I act. Of course I have to get an audition call first. There is an open casting in Texas this weekend, but we are waiting until the castings get closer to New England (plus I'm filming this weekend). I film every weekend. I can be behind the camera almost anytime in the indie world. Yesterday I was a Happy Hippie trying to befriend a group of Zombies. It was totally weird, but cool. The director was using the camera in 3rd person. I enjoy filming stuff myself and watching eveyone's techniques. I wrote a screen play when I was ten and I got a group of friends over to film all weekend, we pulled a 24hr film job. (it's not that great but I was interviewed twice; I know it was because I was ten) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TToCFmW7hJw I just finished two feature films and got to go to my first premiere were I was the lead. I'm working on another indie film now in Maine and I'm a Godess that rises to power BUT doesn't fall. I love it! I get to act, dance, sword fight and ride horses. I write a lot too and just met Ernist Thompson from On Golden Pond and I took his writers weekend workshop class. It was great. I want to film what I wrote at some point. I know that Mattie is the part for me, I know it's my next step. I have a True Grit Gut Feeling.. Any suggestions? PS I love all your movies.. I did get wigged out with the remake of Vanished. It scared me a lot. Mirror has two faces is one of my favorite chick flicks. I do hope to hear from you with any suggestions that I may be over looking.. Country: USA Comments: Jeff- I first watched the Big Lebowski in sixth grade five times in a row and finally understood what the whole movie was about. It changed my life forever. You seem like one of the few Hollywood actors who literally does take it easy for the rest of us and I want to thank you for that.
