I've been looking for a lot of information on my dad's side, he was born in St. Paul, VA....I have some old clippings from Clinch Valley Times in July 1977 of pictures from the "Good Old Days" section. We use to get the newspaper mailed to us here in Pasadena, TX. I've been really interested in wanting to get all information from the newspapers on any Patricks', Adams', & Smiths'. My dad passed away Aug. 25, 2000....I believe we even had you guys put it in the Clinch Valley Times, not really sure though. I would love more clippings to added if possible & to be notified when the above names come up.

Comments: I have just found this site and been going through it. I am the great grand daughter of William Paris Rose and Frances(Frankie) Caroline Rose, I noticed on William Floyd Rose's family group who married Laura Combs who is the daughter of Richard Combs and Susan Totten That you put a R for a P in William Paris Rose name and that you didn't have Caroline's maiden name. I would appreciate it if you would make this correction. There were other Rose children who lived and died in Tazewell besides William Floyd Rose. William Paris Rose & Caroline had twelve children and raised them in Tazewell county. Tlhese are there names and the dates of their birth.William Floyd Rose 1883,Creede Rose 1888, James Henry Rose 1890,Mary R Rose 1890, Charles G Rose 1891,Meredith F Rose 1893,George H Rose 1894,Martha Caroline Rose 1896,Sarah (Sallie) L. Rose 1898, Nancy Rose 1903,Barbara Rose 1905.Martin A Rose 1907. This information is from the 1900,1910,1920,census of Tazewell county plus marriage records for William F Rose,Creede Rose,Martha Caroline, Sarah (Sallie),Martin A Rose. I believe we need to make correction when things are not quiet right. I like your site and appreciate all that you do. Thanks Gerri Unitt

Comments: Wondering if there is any other info on Cleve Spurlin, April 21, 1921, note.
Might be my GP - Talmadge Cleveland Spurlin. - Very secretive of his life when I was young.
