Comments: Hello, I just read your Compassionate Flyfishing article and was startled (in a fresh, positive way), by your conclusion to stop using hooks. I think it is an absolutely fascinating solution and brings into question what is important while fishing (or simply shows what we all know to be the important parts). I am doing my senior undergraduate thesis on the spiritual implications of fly-fishing and how it plays a role in environmental activism. While I would not consider myself a Buddhist, I have modeled my own spiritual practice around Buddhist thought and am looking to bring together Buddhist thought and fly-fishing. I would be absolutely thrilled if you were available for an interview (probably by email), because I think your views on these subjects are fascinating, sincere, and well thought out. Thank you for your time and I hope all is well, Stefan
Comments: Clark Sensei, I am a student of Dorris Sensei living in N Houston. I have visited the site many times. I wanted to say hello from Texas and thank you for the information here on your site. I hope soon to have the opportunity to meet you in person and further my training. Best, K
Comments: I'm curious. In looking at your site, you state, "We'd like to get to know you" yet you have the sickle and rice bowl symbol (kamawan) above it... why? Thanks. -H Nicodemus
