Hi Patrick,

You do a wonderful job of keeping all of us Haitians abreast of  important news about our country and its people.

I was saddened to learn of the death of Manno Sanon who was and always will be "The Haitian Athlete of the Century".  I watched a small excerpt of the interview you conducted with him.  It was good that you had the opportunity to capture his own words before his death.

Keep up the good work of giving us a little piece of Haiti in your website.  No one does it better!!!!!

Claire

I visited Ile de Vache in Haiti last weekend  - December 8/9, 2007 -and found it a charming and interesting and clean place.  The small hotel - Akaba Resort - has a beautiful sandy beach in a protected bay looking towards the mainland and is reached after a short boatride from Les Cayes.  Its food is fair but not excellent.  Driving from Port-au-Prince  to Les Cayes took about four hours on a mainly good road with some incredibly bad short stretches.  The island is worth visiting but very few other tourists were observed..... a definite plus if you value privacy.

I saw the film (reportage): Haiti's Hidden Treasures and I think that it was a really good initiative. The film permits to so many people to have another vision of this country of all dreams, of this beautiful country that have been vilipended and denigrated first by his own children, and after that by the majority of the international community...
I really think that this initiative should be encouraged et supported by all real Haitians...

I have a copy of the video, I watch it often and I show it to my students. The video depicts Haiti as a culturally enriched country with much to offer the caribbean and the world. It is very refreshing to find a video that positively showcase the country's history and future potential. I am eagerly looking for part II.

The website is equally refreshing. It is very apparent that the producer of this website has great pride in Haiti's history, and culture. I will visit this website very often to keep me abreast of the future progress of my beloved country.
