Comments: Barbaro: i did not know you very well but you are a great horse. I still think of you running in the derby, bringing tears to my eyes. Every time your memorial movie comes on HBO i watch it with my family. I have always loved horses. I began barrel racing at a young age and loved going fast. My sister wants to be an exerciser for the horses at Oaklawn, in Arkansas. I wish it wasn't you that broke down that day on the track, i wish it was nobody, but because of that day you are world known and wont be forgotten. this is to you Barbaro!!!! You are a great champion. When you ran, the ground shook, the sky opened and mere mortals parted. Parted the way to victory. Where you'll meet me in the winner's circle, and I'll put a blanket of flowers on your back.

Comments: Barbaro - I know you're not reading this but others are and your valiant struggle to live helped keep me from despair as I was trying to help my white german shepherd live a quality life with canine epilepsy. Like you, my Puppers eventually passed away from complications of his disease but not before helping to teach others a great deal about his ailment. It's wonderful that your ashes will be interred at the site of your greatest triumph. Someday I will get there to visit your memorial and I will bring you a pinch of my doggie's ashes so you two brave boys can co-mingle. You were a handsome horsie and a brave boy. Rest peacefully and know that you gave comfort and courage to thousands.

Comments: one year ago it was a most upsetting day...the end of the hope,the reality that our beautiful horse was no more it is still very sad and on looking at the photos of him i cant help but thinking.....
