They are so caring smart and loving.....and yes my baby smiles to it is the cutest thing. Her name is Shyley and love to watch the dog shows but if you call her a dog she tilts her head with a look, she knows she's my baby and not a "dog".

Menifee Comments: Hi, My name is Cheryl. I adopted two golden's back in 1992. We adopted Candy at 10 weeks old. We felt bad that she was alone so we adopted our Cody at 6 weeks old & he was my first male dog I had ever owned. I grew up with all mixed dogs. I was raised with a German Shepherd mix. She was 3 months older then me & she died when we where 13. She was my best friend. Candy & Cody where my first real babies. It took me & my Ex-husband 5 years to have kids & I took my dogs everywhere I went. Cody was the name I picked for my my first boy & to me he was my first boy. I lost him at 8 years old of full blown lymph node cancer. My daughter was born in March 2000. I was on a trip to Mass. with my daughter visiting my friends & family & my ex called & said he was getting sick & wouldn't eat. I knew something was wrong because he ate everything. When I got back 2 days after I took him right in because he didn't look right. That is when the doctor said he had Cancer. I had almost collapsed. I cried all the way home & for days, he only had 6 weeks to live. We where lucky to get in one more Christmas with him. I felt so bad that I couldn't help my baby boy. I still have my T-shirt that my ex bought me that has a picture of him & it says Mamma's Boy & Cody at the bottom. I just can't get rid of it. I then had to put Candy down almost 2 years ago. She was 14 1/2. She was a great joy also. So smart. She had a hard time losing her best friend. We did buy 2- 6 week old golden's in 2003, but me & my ex where having a hard times so on one of my trips to Mass. with my daughter again he sold the dogs before I got home. It hurt us all a lot. They where only 8 months old. So I didn't get any other dogs because my Candy was to old to except a puppy. So we got 2 cats. They where more mellow for her. I am now remarried to a great guy & my son is 11 & daughter is 8 and they want another dog. Christopher is now going to be home a lot alone during the day for a few hrs after school & I want him to feel safe. I spent many years alone at night when my ex was on grave yard shift. The dogs always slept with me. Imagine a 80 pound male at the foot of the bed & a 60 pound female sharing your pillow. They did that for most of their lives. My mom thought I was nuts. Funny I didn't let my kids sleep with me but I did my dogs. This time I want to start off with one Golden & get them trained & then if I feel he or she needs a play mate, then I will get another. I saw that you have a litter due in the summer. I was wondering when & how much do your sell the dogs for. I don't want papers, they are pets, not show dogs to me. I looked up a site in Fall brook & they said they sell to good families & not people who breed. They showed a video of them showing puppies. Showing their good & bad sides & it made me sick. I love your site & some things made me laugh & some made me cry & made me remember how much my two babies made me feel. We have a large house & a good size back yard with a pool. My last two Golden's loved to swim especially my Cody. He use to do laps with me & jump in the deep end. Sorry I was just thinking of them & trying to decide for 2 years now if I wanted another dog. Like my husband says when I see a dog I would get my fix. But, I never really did. It just made me want another one. I thought about other breeds but since 1992 I have been a Golden lover & will always. I live in Menifee & would love to see if I can afford one of your pups & like I said, when will they be do? Toronto Comments: Every once in a while I do a search for "Golden Retrievers in Cyberspace" with no luck. I hope each time that someone has rebuilt the site. We're thoroughly Golden owners. Quin is getting on. She's incredible. About 14...we got her when she was 5 after Winston was diagnosed with lung cancer. Quin rescued us! She's beautiful, and a constant companion. Charlot is from Montreal. He was terrribly abused; found on death row by the Rescue group. We spoke for him when Bentley was given days to live. Charllot is very, very smart; he's taught me things I didn't want to know. Bentley lived another 1 1/2 years to bring Charlot up right! He died of cancer too. He was incredible. So for quite a while we had 3 Goldens. It was incredible! Winston was our first. He was with us for 11 years. I look forward to seeing him and Bentley at Rainbow Bridge. Dave L Toronto

We have had our struggles like many people do but we can laugh through them because Toby is soooo funny. He will never leave your side, nudges you relentlessly and always has a present in his mouth for you. We are so lucky he came into our life. My eyes fill up with tears when I think he may not be with me forever. He is seven years old and we just had a health scare and I was a wreak. I will send in a story and picture soon.

Middleburg Florida Comments: I have had (4) goldens in the last 30 years my 1st was Flavia she came to me when she was 18 month's old i saw an add in the paper free Golden to good home. What I did not know was she would present me with 8 puppies very soon. Flavia lived for 11 more years she went every where with me when ever the truck was started she was supposed to be in it. Flavia was with me through a very rough time in my life and she died shortly after I remarried, its like she knew that I would have somebody to take care of me and I know she will be waiting for me on the other side when it is my time. Then came Misty she grew up with my son and when she was 3 years old she gave us Beauregard he grew up with my daugther. They have now both gone to join Flavia and I know that many years from now when my son and daughter go to the other side they will be waiting. But I have a very special place in my heart for Flavia she is buried there forever and even though I have other dogs she Will always know she is the best and my first golden.
