Wow!!! Gato, you are my favorite jazz musican I ssaw you once and am very happy that I will now get to see you perform in NYC.  Your music is simply wonderful and all of my friends who hadn't heard you always ask who is that ...an I say the greatest jazz sax player of all time...keep up the good work Gato.

I became aquainted with Gato Barbieri while livng in Germany, this was in the 1960's.  My husband at the time had just returned from Viet Nam and I had also just lost my Mom and had a 3 yrs old baby. Life was a challenge to say the least.  Mr. Barbieri was a refuge, his music gave me a place to dream and his melodies were and are endearing to me.  That marriage did not last the hard memories of the war were very deep for my dear friend and husband and we parted.  However, the awesome son brought forth out of that union is an awesome man today that loves Jazz, it played in his ears all the time!  Just a thank you for the years of awesome music and melody that bring a flow and love of life to the world!
