Comments: Gato, I was graduating high school in the late 70's when I first heard your music and instantly fell in love. Even though I became a victim of the Disco era, I never let the passion of your music escape me. You made me feel that your Saxophone was speaking only to me, down to my soul. A few years ago, I had the thrill of seeing you live when you visited the Keswick theater outside of Philadelphia. While on line late one Sunday night, I received an e-mail from the Keswick saying that tickets to your concert were going on sale at 10 AM Monday morning. I hit the reply button and asked for tickets, any tickets (hopefully center.) My phone rang Monday morning at 9:50 AM. It was the Keswick calling to ask if FIRST ROW CENTER was okay? I want you to know that your concert, and finally seeing you, was truly one of the highlights in my life. I cried the entire concert, but they were tears of joy. Comments: I'm a big big fan and saxophonist as well...big big big fan...My favorite song, (My theme song) is "Poinciana--song of the tree." I'd love to witness live gato playing that song...mmmmmmmmm
Comments: Please advise when again you will visit the NYC, New Jersey area ... Sadly for me I had reservations at the Blue Note, but "life" got in the way ... still I hear your music fondly and with God's help will see you soon. Que vayas con Dios y La Virgen hoy y siempre.

Comments: Gato performed at the Blue Note in NYC this past weekend (5/16-17) to a full house each time. The show was fabulous, as always, and he was most gracious to receive visitors after the 10:30 Saturday night show (which I attended). My stepdaughter had never been to a live jazz performance before and Gato's show was the best introduction she could ever have to jazz music. Gato, I just wanted to say thank you so much for your autograph and allowing me to stay in your dressing room for a short time while other guests greeted you and expressed their well wishes.
