Comments: hello art, I just wanted to share with you the fact that you have a voice of an angel. The sound that comes from you will never be replaced.I was born in 1981 and i grew up listening to all sorts of music but none compares to the melodies presented from you and Paul. Thank you for your gift of the ability to touch the hearts of those young and old.I had tickets for your show that was cancelled at the Palace of Auburn hills i was so excited to be able to be a part of it but everything happens for a reason .So i end this with another thank you and wish you the best from one of the young fans
Comments: Dear Art, Always remember singing to your music when I was pregnant with my daughter, Danielle, way back in '77. "All I know" is probably my all time favorite along with my husband Mark. My daughter is in her 30's now and also enjoys your music as much as we do.
Comments: Dear Art I truly thank God for blessing someone with an amazing voice as yours, May God Bless You chris UK
Comments: Your music has made a difference. Thank-you. I listen when I paint.
Comments: Dear Art, Thanks for giving us the opportunity to write here, I hope you actually do have time to read all your mail. I grew up in Bruxelles, in the 60s and 70s with my older brothers singing and playing all your songs with Paul. I quickly picked up behind them and became bewitched too. As life kept me busy (as you know it does) I kept an eye on you and Paul from a distance, not always being able to keep up to date, sometimes sad to hear of these "breakups" and always happy to see you back together in NYC for a better than ever concert each time. Like wine it is getting better with time. Possibly in part because of you (and Paul) I have always liked the US a lot and ended here in 95. I lived in Pasadena (CA) for a while and of course often had the line in my head "500 miles from LA...". Now I am on the east coast and of course go to NYC from time to time, and think about all the concerts you had there and never got to be at one. I missed the Madison Square one last year. So you have a Master in Math, I have a PhD in Physics, and I can certainly appreciate your math degree (shall we speak about Riemaniann Geometry and Kristofell symbols ? ). Have you ever published a scientific paper for your master? And last I d like to say that in a way you are part of the American experience, the US wouldn't be the same without you and all your songs. You are one of the symbols of the USA. Thanks for all your great songs (w and w/o Paul) and for giving us this opportunity to reach out to you. Patrick
Comments: Dear Art, I hope your voice is mends soon as it's been too long since we heard your beautiful singing.
Comments: We've never met but I feel you are an old friend. You've been inspiring me since my Dad set your tapes playing for me while I rocked on my rocking horse and howled along, some 40 years ago. (When "Cecilia" came out we were living in Guam, which has a strong Spanish culture, and I'd sing it with the local kids, and just assumed, as 4-5 year olds do, that the song was about our village!) Recently I did a duet at a small venue here in South London of "The Boxer" after which someone said we were "the bloody likeness" of you two -- honors don't get any better than that. Here is a cover version I did of Only Living Boy in New York -- still in draft form, but getting nice feedback. http://soundcloud.com/st-josephs-social-club/only-living-boy-in-new-york Anyway, thanks for being you. If you two can muster one more reunion tour, please put us on your itinerary -- I saw you in Hyde Park in 2004. Your closing of Bridge Over Troubled water was just earth-shaking -- greatest thing I've ever heard live. sincerely, and with warmest regards Ken PS Here's one more recording, which is about as I good as I get... http://soundcloud.com/st-josephs-social-club/cover-exit-music-for-a-film

Comments: Dear Art, Recently my husband and I watched a Simon & Garfunkel concert on PBS. The joy it brought back to my heart and soul is beyond words. My mother used to CRANK her Simon & Garfunkel Albums when I was young. It brought back such great feelings to hear your music again while watching the concert. I have spent the last week listening to all my Simon & Garfunkel songs on my iPod and all your (the 3 I have) solo albums as well. I'm 47, unemployed at the moment (husband is working), and feeling quite depressed lately. I have to say, your voice is just the therapy I needed. It seems to snap me out of the sad world I've been tending to lean into. Your voice, to me, is MAGICAL. It has stirred up such wonderful emotions again and I can't thank you enough. Thank God for Art Garfunkel!!
Comments: Dear Mr. Arthur Garfunkel! Allow to THANK YOU for your songs and singing! Several months ago I have heard them for a first time, it was a "25th Anniversary Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Concert" on TV! So, you and Mr. Paul Simon have amazed me because of your voices and music! When I listen to your songs I become happier! You are GREAT! I would like to wish you creative successes, health, good mood and pleasure! With best regards and gratitude, Lera (21 year, Russia).
Comments: Hey,

Juliana
Comments: Happy New Year Artie to you and your family. I do hope your voice is recovering and that you will soon be in concert again. With much love from Jane, Southampton, England
Comments: I would just like to say thank you for living your life how you did. I wish i was born 30 years earlier than i was so i could have been around when you and Paul were at your peak. You are so timeless, i will be listening to you for the rest of my life i know that!
Comments: Dear Art, Thanks for many years of listening happiness! One of my favorite presents this year is a DVD recording of "The Concert in Central Park"... Your soaring vocals on Scarborough Fair still give me goosebumps, thanks for that. Wanted to write and let you know; isn't the web a wonderful thing!? Best from sunny Düsseldorf! Kathryn
Comments: Hello Art! I hope you are recovering well from your medical issues. One of the greatest voices in pop music history belongs on the stage enthralling audiences both solo and teaming with Paul! Get well soon and come to Florida!
Comments: Hello Art! You are a Beautiful Man...I suffer from a rare blood cancer and I want you to know that just listening to all of your songs helps ease my pain. They make me feel whole again. I thank God for people like YOU! I wish you the best and I will always remember how great thou Art! Happiness to you! Connie
Comments: Hi Art Wishing you and your family the very best for 2012. Just listened to Paula Fernandes on Youtube, she sings THE BOXER very well, and wondered what you and Paul have to say to this. Shes a young Brazilian girl with a crystal clear voice, beautiful, she comes very close to the original.
Comments: Hello Art Want to let you know what a pleasure it has been to listen to your music through the years. I have my original Simon & Garfunkel albums and have finally converted to CD format. I owe it to my cousin from Indiana for introducing me to the greatest singing duo ever. The first time I heard Sound of Silence I was so overcome with emotion and awe I could only focus on the song. To this day that song gives me the same feelings and I must say it is a work of genius. Thank you for the memories and the many other wonderful recordings. A lifetime fan
Comments: Hi Art, I was always a fan of your work, but recently revisited it following the airing of 'Imagine - The Harmony Game' a BBC documentary. How did you find returning to the UK again. We live in a beautiful part of the Forest of Dean, but I'd be interested to know if you were surprised by any changes over here?
Comments: Dear Mr Garfunkel, I have been a fan of yours forever and I would like to say thankyou for the music. I would like to share with you one of my poems, it's called "IF"
If I could cry a thousand tears, If I could buy my hopes and fears, If I could stop the world and leave, If I could laugh instead of grieve, If what was when and why was how, If time could wait for me right now, If there was hope instead of none, If none was gone replaced by some, What would we do if we could choose? The world would stop and never move, How cruel is having the luxury of If? If we could do whatever we wished.
Comments: Dear MR. ART (ARTIST !), YOU ARE FABULOUS!!! ...just now wath for 100 time live in C.Park! GOD BLESS U AND ALL THE PEOPLE YOU LOV'IT, FROM A ITALIAN DRUMMER&BEAUTIFUL ITALY OSCAR (www.myspace.com/oscarabelli)
