Comments: Dave, We had a great time last night watching your show at The Electric Brew in Goshen, Indiana. I caught most of it on video and put it up on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=263E6D7DFE329E9C Sincerely, Adam and Karen and kids
Comments: Hey Dave, Rock on dude! Looks & sounds great. We'll try to make the Cityfest & check you out. Stop by the Guitar Shoppe when you get a chance. Peace+Mark
Comments: As a 56 year old husband, father, architect in the suburbs of Washington, DC I find great contrast between the complicated world we live in and my childhood expectations of life. What hasn't changed are the deeply rooted principles and sentiments given to me by my parents in rural Ohio. What does change are the shifting community and national convictions about right/wrong. The friction between inner and outer living is frustrating, and difficult when witnessing before children. I'm musically eclectic, with very few soloist musicians. Finding Dave's music and entering into his works have been a significant source of strength. His lyrics and music give strength to my inner voice amid the daily assault by the media and shifting interpersonal relationships. Talent is present when an audience receives art and generates an inner belief they are capable of similar expression. It's true in dance, the graphic arts, and music. No, I don't delude myself this way in Dave's music, but know that he is sharing universal, deeply rooted truths that have meaning for me.
Comments: Dave, Congrats on winning The South Florida Folk Festival. We were talking this weekend about how long it's been since we heard you live. The Ole Ipod doesn't substitute for Dave live.
Comments: Congratulations on your winning the Singer Songwriter Competition at the South Florida Folk Festival and being recognized by your peers for a job well done. Speaking of "well done"; one man + one guitar + good songs + good banter = a great time at the Humphrey's House Concert and Calorie Festival. Thank you and hope to see you again sometime.
Comments: Dave, As president of the Paw Paw Village Players (Paw Paw, Mi) and personal friend of Andy Baker (semi-World Famous Singer/Songwriter and veterinarian) I would like to hereby, FORMALLY endorse Dave Potts as honorary "Director of Humor Relations" for Paw Paw, Michigan! (I can FEEL your excitement! Hell, the job pays nearly as much as President of the Village Players!) LOVED your show at our playhouse back in October and can't wait to see you in concert again. I made dozens of illegal copies of your CD, "12.99" and gave them away instead of candy at Halloween! (Just kidding, in my neighborhood it's chocolate or dead raccoons in your mailbox!) Honestly though, my wife loves your CD and so do I. I'm off to your "music page" to order some more. Stay warm, stay funny and come visit again soon!
Comments: I came upon your name when "googling" David Potts who had called about my condo here on Lake Martin. Don't know if you are one and the same but I'm sure glad I now know about you. I am getting ready to order every single one of your cd's for myself and plan to give your cd's as Christmas gifts to friends and family. I think you should book yourself at Harbor Point Marina and Living Waters outdoor church this coming summer, both inside Stillwaters Resort in Dadeville, Al. It would be great exposure!! Best of luck and God Bless.
Comments: Not long ago while listening my favorite radio station, XM 15, I heard your song, "$12.99." It caught my attention due to the wonderful story and how it was so naturally told through the music and vocal. The second time I heard it, I just had to find out more. So now after purchasing your two most recent CD's and learning that you were a fellow believer and Alabamian, (here in Daphne-Mobile) I am now wondering, "Where have I been?" Hope to catch your Auburn show in september, unless something sooner in this area happens. Catch ya later.
Comments: Dave, Another great concert in Decatur, GA Wednesday night. I really enjoy the concert atmosphere of the last few performances I've seen. Have you started taking performance enhancing drugs too, or is this a venue style that really lets your talents shine? Also, the new Garden song is really good, I look forward to adding it to my Ipod soon.
Comments: Smart move giving your CD $12.99 to Christine Lavin. I heard a few cuts from it on XM Radio (on her show "Slipped Disks") earlier this week and promptly ordered it. It's a wonderful CD, certainly from the cuts I've heard so far. Tomorrow morning I'll pop it in my car CD player and give it a good listen (or two or more). I live in New Jersey (exit 131); imagine my dismay when I clicked on your concert schedule and discovered that you're not coming to my area. There are several venues that would be fine for you, so I'll talk you up when next I attend a local concert. Also, in New York City there's Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. I wish you all the best. I'l check back periodically to see if concert dates are added to your schedule. Jim |
