Comments: Hello Little Birthday Girl! Happy Birthday, Honey Cakes! How is it to be #1 on #1? That's many, many moons ago for me! And, my apologies for missing it! I'll give you a good birthday story though. Yup, I was fighting the BLIZZARDS of the WEST during your celebration! You can put them down in your record book of FIRSTS! Your good friend Sonya, kna, BLIZZARD BETTY, fought the beasts from the west while you and your GG's and cousins and Mom and Dad and buddies galore were enjoying birthday cake (the #1 won't be the ONLY backward thing in life) and goodies on your festive day. In FACT, I had it planned to come and SEE you for the first time on my return trip. But, as the blizzard luck would have it, your Grandma Linda phoned and left me a voice mail that she and your GREAT Grandma were headed to the cities so, I was simply going to miss out this time and would have to cool my heels (which, with the weather, wasn't going to be a problem!) until the next time. Just know that I was with you in spirit and was happy to learn you had a grand time. I love your strategy, too! Foolin' 'em. They think you're going to be all neat and tidy .... and that room thing ...... love it! When I see ya, I'll let you in on my trick of scooping everything under the bed and into the closet - outa sight and calling things good. As long as they don't actually CHECK the room out, you're home FREE! That's an 'outside Auntie's' job ya know, helping you to trick 'em for as long as you can. All in good humor, no hurting, always respectful and in good fun! Well, sweets, good talking to you - loved your new pictures and the tutu's are SO YOU! Anxious to see the bunny honey pictures! Comments: We want to see some first birthday pictures. Happy Birthday, Addison! Hope you got our card and gift on time. Hope your parents let you eat cake - it's one of my favorite things. Emma and Mabel were home from school today because south Bismarck is flooding due to an ice jam on the river. We are waiting to hear that they've blown it up - that was the plan this afternoon. The governor and mayor will be holding a press confernece in a few minutes. Lots of water in the city, we were concerned that if we were in the city that we may not have been able to get back to our home since the creek is rising and could cut off road access. We shouldn't have water problems at our place. Hope you are staying warm and dry Hard to believe that it was in the upper 40's last weekend, then we had a blizzard and it's below zero today with a flood to top it all off. So when we got home the girls had to get on-line and look. All they could say was what a cute little girl you have and can't wait to meet her. Comments: Thank you so much for sharing your story and pictures. After the long wait, Addison is finally with you, and what a special addition she is to your family. You will see big changes in her with your constant love and attention, good diet, health care, etc. and it will be like a miracle in front of your eyes. Isn't that time change a horrible thing...it will take some time to get her changed around, but hang in there. Comments: Hello and Congratulations! I went to UMD with Jay and saw he mentioned "his new niece in China" in a Facebook update and that's all it took to get happily sucked into your journey. We adopted three children from Korea, and adoption stories are just so close to my heart. I am so happy that you have Addison in your arms now.
