Military connection have several family members currently serving in the Canadian Military

This is a wonderful site! Stumbled onto it whilst searching for ancestors...  And would dearly love to know if anyone has any more information on RQMS William "Tubby" Docksey...?  As I'm trying to determine as to whether he is a family member. So any d.o.b., where he was from, other family members, etc. - ANY information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all!  But mostly THANK YOU to ALL who have served!

Thanks for all your fantastic info Gerry. I'm looking for any information on my husbands uncle John (Jack) Galloway Service No- 7902610. Thanks for the picture of his grave stone but I'd like to know more ie which company he was in. How do I find this? Anyone who may have known him, I'd love to contact.

Gerry:

I loved the conversation we had in the back yard the other night, and I love your web site.   I have begun reading your book on line, but I still want a signed hard copy when you have it published!

Cheers,

Gerry,I have read your facinating War Record many times, thank goodness you took the bother.I had never heard of the North Irish Horse until August 1996 whilst having a knee replacement in a Cardiff Hospital,a man was admitted to our Ward and he was very quiet, and when the nurses put him to bed they put his artifical leg on the armchair. The next day the man's son came to visit his dad,and I asked him how his father had lost his leg.He said dad was a tank driver in the North Irish Horse, they had sucessfully fought their way over the River Po,and the tank commander,a Major, said well done lads lets have a brew,Dad got out through the drivers hatch and stepped on a mine.I seem to have read in your diary about this,
I came home after VE Day togo for the assault on Japan, but the Atomoc Bomb was too quick(thank God) I went back to Germany  and then ended up with 46 Div in Steyrmach,Austria between Graz and Bruk until I was demobbed, like you a Sgt.I to did a three month stretch in Vienna,
