What Duty Station ? Rota/Charleston/Holy Loch/Apra Harbor Guam : Charleston to Bremerton Comments: Went on board the day the Holland got to Charleston from Holy Loch (1973), went with her through the Panama Canal on the way to Bremerton, WA for Shipyard overhaul (1974). In fact the day we went thru the canal was the same day Richard Nixon resigned as President. Discharged at the end of that Shipyard Period (1975). Stayed in Seattle nearly 10 years. Went to work for US Army as civilian Electrician. Thanks, USS Holland and US Navy

Refits, UnRep, Helo Ops, Dental support for Yokosuka NB dependents, an OPPE, & an INSURV... Oh yeah... Full Flank Turns... Took on all comers & smiled!
