Hello.. I just found this website and I think it is amazing. I got my first Pit Bull "Bella" about a year ago as an 8wk old pup. She is a great, smart, fun, and loving dog. I would be lost without her and she has brought so much joy to my life. She is a blue nose pit and everyone she comes into contact with loves her and she loves everyone as well. I just want to say thank you to all the people that stand up for Pit Bulls and raise awareness and rescue them.They really are great, loyal, and loving dogs. My life would not be the same without mine.

**** OHIO - Highland County Sheriff enforces "personal policies" ****
There is no ban on pit bulls in Highland County, but sheriff Ron Ward has enforced the prohibition of pit bull adoptions (or any thing that somewhat resembles a pit bull type dog) from the county dog pound to any resident of Highland County, even if the potential adopter carries the state required pit bull liability insurance. He has forced his personal beliefs on residents of Highland County (violating the sheriff code of ethics) by leading them to believe that his word is the law. This "doggy-racism" and abuse of power has led many innocent animals to be put to death at the pound. Get educated about the law and stand up for your rights. You can access the local law book and Ohio revised code by visiting the law library located in the Highland County Court House. If a sheriff can enforce his own personal policy on dogs, where will this enforcement of personal policies end? Is he going to decide to ban the sale of Pepsi products in our county because he might prefer Coke? Is he going to prohibit the sale of alcohol or tobacco in Highland County because he views it as a public safety risk?

I think anything that has to do with pit rescue is wonderful. They are such wonderful and dedicated people.

Hello everyone, We are in desperate need for your help! The state of Michigan prosecutors want to put our pit bull down because of her breed. They already shot and killed one of them and now Holly is awaiting trial. They got out and they wrongfully killed our littlest one. Please we need pit bull advocates to help save Holly.
