Comments: hello from down under , As i watched your show for the first time i was so excited i had just found out i was pregnant with my second child . i thought my first was going to be my last . i had an epidural and did not like it at all . i couldnt feel i thing not even to push so they put a suction cap on his head to help with my pushes after a hour or so he was out . this time i knew i had to do something different !!! my pregnancy was fine i didnt have one problem . i was all planned for a water birth , then when i had gone over my due date 10 days i had to go and have a ultrsound to make sure the baby had enough fluid which he did so i was induced 4 days later . i deliverd i healthy boy 9 pounds 11, i really dont think i could have done that without watching all the ladies on your show it was a life changing moment for me . thank you Shari
Comments: What a wonderful surprise when I saw Shari on House of Babies. I was among many who Shari and her midwives delivered in El Paso, TX. Shari and her team of midwives delivered 3 of our 4 babies, the forth was delivered by one of her former students while she was out of the country. That was 25 to 30 years ago and we have wonderful memories of beautiful births and excellent education. Shari kept us so well educated and safe in all our deliveries. Comments: Dear Shari, A friend told me about Birth Week on Discovery Health and I recorded "House of Babies" and immediately fell in love with your show. I love how you empower women to birth from within and you help uncover the innate abilities that most women have "forgotten". I hope your show airs for months or years to come because I just started watching and would literally cry if it ended. I am a mother of a beautiful 4yr old girl and she was very difficult to labor (in a hospital). I'm planning to get pregnant again soon and would love the option of visiting a birthing center such as yours. Unfortunately MN doesn't have any free-standing birthing centers. But, we do have wonderful midwifes who will help me deliver via water birth at home  . I wish you all the best!Love & hugs, Melanie
Comments: I just had my son Ethan in July at the Charleston Birth Place in Charleston, SC. I opted for the laboring half in bed/half in water, and ultimately delivered in the water. My midwife was Lesley Rathbun, and I must say I agree with her and one of the first things she said: Do NOT watch all the birthing shows on television, they tend to overdramatize situations that are often times rare, and not even happening accurately. She tells all of her girls (me included) that the only baby show she wants us watching, is yours! Best of luck to you!
Comments: Hello! I am a 26 year old living in Australia and just gave birth to my third baby 6 weeks ago. I have enjoyed watching your show since my second child was born and found it refreshing to see a show that shares that same philosophies as me when it comes to childbirth, having had all three of my children naturally and drug free! Just wanted to say thank you for all of the great advice and tips. On the side, wondering where to find the slings/carriers that Shari's daughter Joy wears to carry her son around in. Very interested in where to find one! Thanks again! |
