A gigantic party... a fitting tribute to a man we all loved. It was great to see so many people I knew from the Rambles, the ever-helpful (even when they're off-duty) and friendly Team Levon, as well as many YOUNG folks who are carrying the spirit of Levon forward. Highlights for me: Grace Potter's haunting take on "I Shall Be Released", My Morning Jacket's weep-inducing "It Makes No Difference", Roger Waters' down-home baseball cap story, and of course the 9,000 fingers of The Great God Garth on "Chest Fever". You can bet I'll be first on line when I hear of the release date for the DVD (or Blu-ray).

Barbara, you plain outdid yourself this time... the Mother of all Rambles. Larry, you worked your ass off. Teresa... Byron... Brian... Weege... Horns... you just rock. And Amy... dear, dear Amy... know that your grief was ours. How proud your dad was of you, and must continue to be now that you've turned sorrow into action. We hope the burden is a bit lighter now.

My son Edward and I had the pleasure and privilege of attending the Love for Levon benefit on Tuesday night.

I will leave it to others to review the music end of the night. I would just like to comment on the feeling in the arena emanating from the stage. Joy, respect, and love filled the arena.

There were no "stars" on the stage, but bunches of very talented friends and family paying homage to the man and his legacy.

I know that ten or twenty years down the road this night will shine as bright as any of the rock and roll iconic evenings in history. To have been there and to have soaked in the karma of the scene will give me hope and energy until my next meeting with Levon.

When Levon passed, as sad as it was, I had to smile and think about what a good job he seemed to do in fulfilling a full artistic life, and how fortunate I and my brothers and sisters are to have been put here at the same time to enjoy what he had to offer.

To the family, my fondest thanks for sharing that sweet man. To Mr. Helms, thank you, for a real good time.

Stu

Went to the concert with my usual Ramble suspects; the "Catonsville Crab Cake Boys" plus a few more Levon devotees. Another night of pure Joy! No big screens to distract, no large pictures of Levon as a backdrop....just music...as Levon would have liked ..always the music and tangentially comes the pure unnadulterated JOY
See you next time with CrabCakes!

Beautiful show and tribute to Levon. We were a group of 11, ranging in ages from 16 to 55.  We were all touched and overwhelmed at times.  Looking forward to the Levon's vision of the Midnight Ramble continuing for many years to come.
