Comments: Not sure why we're playing the re-casting game here...but Jo's mum has already started the dr who version, haha...like your choice of John Simm...I thought I might be original with that one...but it would seem not. And rose...yeah she would definitely be Janet. I like to think that Jack might be McFarlane....cocky enough.

Comments: I met the cast when I was staying at Stirling Youth hostel for a couple of nights. As I was going to be staying with family in Dunfermline and intended to go to the Edinburgh festival, I decided to give it a go and see "Academy of Death". I really enjoyed meeting the cast and crew because of their enthusiasm and that played a big part in my decision to go.
I loved it. I thought that is had a simplicity about it that was enchanting and some full time companies now have competition.
I thought it was very well cast and directed.
Being at the Edinburgh festival I hope was good for you. It will certainly have given the performers more experience. They all did remarkably well against the hot competion that you always get at the Edinburgh festival.

Comments: Reviewed S. Hughes, England – 10 August 2009 ***** Brilliant young cast held us spellbound with their performance of a fantastic new musical that tells the horrific story of Edinburgh's brush with body snatching. This gruesome theme is the clever backdrop to highlight the social injustices of the time, while managing to also inject genuine humour to relieve the stress. A class act by a great cast and a stunning debut by a talented new composer. The best I've seen.

Comments: As promised, I went to see the show on Thursday and in my honest opinion I thought the show was a complete triumph. My comments and thoughts upon leaving the auditorium was that the show could easily go to the West End Well done cast and Musical Director for putting on such an entertaining and professional production. I am looking forward to the next production

Comments: Casting Game
OK, play it this way: recast an exisiting movie or TV show into AoD.
Harry Potter (using character names out of laziness).
John Gray = Snape Toddy McFarlane = Malfoy or one of the Weasley twins Alfred Fettes = Neville or Malfoy, or maybe Ron Janet Brown = Hermione Isabella Knox = Fleur de la Coeur Hanged Man corpse = Hagrid!
Challenge for the next player: Dr Who/Torchwood!

Comments: We went to see the production today and, having seen it several times now, feel it just gets better and better. The cast were fantastic. Each and every member of the cast performed brilliantly, with energy and commitment. The direction by Ella is wonderful; she has not only developed the acting but has given the production texture and momentum. The new musical arrangements are also very successful.
All the adults involved have done a great job in supporting and motivating the young people who I am sure will remember this experience always.
We wish Geoff all the very best in the future with the AoD, it is an excellent mucical, and we look forward to the film version!
