I work with an individual who has Myotonic Dystrophy and I have several questions about physicaly symptoms this person will sometimes display. What makes it sometimes diffcult as well is that his person also has a developmental disability. Is anyone willing to email me and help me with some questios - i.e. urinary incontinence, stomach pains, fatigue, depression. Thanks! Carla

Hello,
My husband (39) and younger daughter (16) have MMD.  My brother-in-law , nephew, and father-in-law also have it.  Currently my husband is participating in the Iplex phase II study.  My husband works in a physically demanding job and we know it is only a matter of time before he is unable to work.  My husband and I are more concerned for our daughter.  Her symptoms appeared earlier and she has repeaters of 477.  When my husband was initially tested his repeaters were 141 and when he was tested for his participation in the study his repeaters increased to 187.  I didn't know repeaters would change.
We know that God has a plan for our family and that regardless of what happens, He will be glorified.
I am hoping to connect with other families in the same situation.
Blessings,
Stacey Rogers
