location: Spring, Texas Comments: Mark, Just to let you know that your guys did a great job for me on my driveway and patio. They arrived on time, immediately went about unloading their equipment and layed out their hoses. The old dividers were gone in short order, the two cracks drilled out and filled and then to the power washing. The joint dividers were done just right and the concrete was sealed and taped off at the drive. Very good job and good crew. Thanks, Rick Porter
location: Spring, TX Comments: Mastic Masters were great. They showed up when they said they would and performed an excellent job. I am very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them if your expansion joint are in need replacing.
location: Cypress, TX Comments: After 16 years my home began to show signs of age that needed to be addressed now - Sept. 2010. Replacing the missing and rotted wood expansion joint separators on the front walkway and the driveway was one essential task. The choice of which material to use in place of the original wood separators was greatly simplified for me, when a plastic bag containing a 4-inch long section of Slab Gasket and a descriptive brochure appeared one day at the end of my driveway, delivered by an enterprising contractor some distance away. A few minutes spent reading the info and handling the Slab Gasket sample convinced me it was the durable, robust solution I needed. Neither Home Depot nor Lowes had it in their product lines. I wanted a local contractor, and Mastic Masters, the 2nd business name returned in a search list on Google Maps, filled the bill. After checking their web site, I called them. Mark responded with true interest in my requirements and was eager to schedule a visit to estimate pricing. He also advised me, during the visit, to consider using mastic caulking, rather than Slab Gasket, for the joints surrounding 2 slab sections butted against the house foundation that had settled about 3 inches. That situation required 100% water diversion, which Slab Gasket does not deliver. In a nutshell, Mark delivered a technically convincing and cost-effective price estimate that I committed to on the spot. The next day he arrived with his crew, and started by removing all the remaining rotted wooden separators, followed by pressure washing the concrete surfaces. That was followed by installation of Slab Gasket and then by the mastic installation. I was truly impressed at the diligence Mark and his team sustained over the 5-6 hours needed to complete the job. Their effort paid off in a very substantial qualitative, functional, and cosmetic improvement in my property. I could not have expected more, and I sincerely recommend Mark and his team - without hesitation or reservation.
location: Houston, TX Comments: We just wanted to say how pleased we are with Mastic Masters. Mark knows his stuff. He always had time to answer my questions and explain the process. The quality of his work is impeccable. He was on the job from start to finish. He takes great pride in his work. Like an artist who paints a picture, Mark takes a patio, driveway, and sidewalk and converts drab looking concrete with rotten expansion joints making the finished product something to behold. Preparation is the key. We went the whole hog which involved rotten expansion joint removal, flushing out the joints, acid washed the rust stains, then pressure washed everything in order to prepare the joint for the new application. Am I glad we did. It looks absolutely beautiful. And he did not charge one penny more than his quotation. I don't hesitate offering him my highest recommendation. Top quality job! Top quality man! Do your research, then choose Mark. |
