Where are you from? Sussex, New Brunswick What surnames are you researching? Vaughan, Pulsifer Comments: Would some kind soul check in the actual Chester Township Books to see if the following entries--taken from Don Shankle's Lunenburg Co. BMD posted on this site--are as actually what is written in the Books: "VAUGHAN","John & Virtue Mary Wood","Ann Nancy","1769-07-19",,"CTWP",,,"B" "VAUGHAN","John & Virtue Mary Wood","Benjamin","1771-11-16",,"CTWP",,,"B" "VAUGHAN","John & Virtue Mary Wood","Dinah","1774-05-29",,"CTWP",,,"B" "VAUGHAN","John & Virtue Mary Wood","Waight","1776-07-08",,"CTWP",,,"B" (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~downeast/2U.htm) I suspect that a researcher with pure motivations but bad instincts has written "Mary Wood" into the Township Book entries, and thus rendered the birth records incorrect. John Vaughan married Mary Wood in 1755 in Rhode Island but she died without issue soon after. In 1759 John married, second, Virtue (Waite) Tripp in Rhode Island and she bore all of the Vaughan children. My guess is that someone who didn't know that Mary Wood had died and that John Vaughan had married a second time was trying to help out fellow researchers of the Vaughan family. Would someone please check the books and help me out?

Where are you from? Avonport, Kings County, Nova Scotia What surnames are you researching? Woodworth, Feindel, Mailman Comments: Hello my name is Flora and I could use some help with researching my family. At my mother's funeral Aug 2009 the family was told that our great grandmother was native. I have a portrait of her and she definitely is native looking. Her name was Angeline Sarah Elizabeth (or Elizabeth Sarah) Woodworth born July 12 1847 died Aug 19 1936. She married Josias Joseph Acker Oct 6 1844 - Oct 29 1931. Angeline was the daughter of "Dan" George David Woodworth Aug 21 1819 - Sept 13 1892 who married Lucinda Louisa Feindel May 24 1826 - Sept 13 1892. It appears that "Dan" and Lucinda both died on the same day can anyone verify this for me. Lately I was told again that Angeline was full blooded Mi'Mkaq. I am trying to find out if it is true and thru what parentage it came down through. "Dan George David's mother was Sophia Dorothea Feindel 1777 - ?. Sophia would be Lucinda's great aunt. So I am leaning towards the feindels' having the native blood in them in order for Angeline to be full blooded. Please help me in trying to figure out this riddle. Another dilemna I have in my research is that O f my paternal grandfather Wilbert Bert Mailman 1880 -1954. he was adopted or taken in by Rufus and esther (Whynot) Mailman. I am trying to find his birth mother and or father. His marriage certificate says he was born in Cherryfield, NS. Anything you can do for me I will appreciate. Thank you for your efforts Flora
