Comments: From our Family to yours...Kat it was great seeing you again. Keaton's is part of my family. My mother, father, sister, and aunts & uncles have and some still do are employed with you (Keatons). Our recent visit was great. The food still continues to be the best BBQ ever. The website looks wonderful and believe me my friends here in Virginia will soon be tasting the great taste of the secret sauce. I wish there was a way I could order the Red Cole Slaw...the bomb.

The first time I went to Keaton's was in the winter of 1982 with my new boyfriend, Todd. He told me earlier in the day, "I'm going to take you out to dinner tonight." I dressed up, wondering where we'd be going. When he drove up to Keaton's, I was so disappointed. We walked in, there were maybe 5 booths, a counter and a sink at the end of the room. At that time, all you could get was chicken, bread, soda and beer, as I recall. No sides, nothing, and all served on paper plates or in paper trays. Needless to say, I was not impressed...until I had my first bite. Wow. I could not believe something so good was there all the time, just waiting for me to find it. Well, I'll tell you this - that boyfriend who took me to that dive...he's now my husband of 19 years. And our marriage, like Keaton's chicken, has only gotten better! (And Keaton's did later add sides - the green beans are to die for...)

I can still remember my first trip to Keaton's back in the early 80's. Even though we are in the little town of Catawba, NC, we still get that great bbq chicken often. I have never found better bbq chicken anywhere. Keep up the work.
