As you will have read in my story that you downloaded from http://www.a-fallen-petal,com I too lost my boy in the month of March. It makes you wonder how many suffer every day with the loss of a loved one. We feel their pain but only they can find their way through. Yours in love Jan

It was a pleasure to have met you both at the conference and when I hear your story, the similarities are striking. Your birthday, my birthday, your Brent, my Bruce and both the youngest of three. Your words could have described Bruce as well and Bruce was a police officer while Brent planned to be one. Our tragedy's brought us both to MADD Canada for support and no, nothing will ever be the same but how we choose to honor our son's and their memories will also be our tribute to them. Time softens the pain and enables us to make progress. Time turns the tears to occasional smiles as we remember. Take care

Now, to learn that it was Aleta's birthday (that seems to sting even harder). We remember Brent most from baseball. What a terrific kid. We knew him in hockey too. We met him again, years later, at Costco. What a friendly, handsome, young man. Our hearts went out to you, Aleta and Rick, that day in March. We still think of you.
