I am the wife of a member of a unit called Ghost Walkers.  We need to find proof that Joe was in Korea.  We think the unit was a CIA ran unit because we were SF and I am told that they ran all SF work in  Korea.  Can anyone shed light on who Joe was assigned to?  We have looked everywhere and need to find someone who knows.  Joe was there 62-64

This is A wonderful site, the picture on the first page,  of A troop in 1959 brought back A flood of memories. I arrived in Korea august 1960, after departing Oakland on the troop ship Patrick.I left Korea august 1961 on the Troop ship Brekenridge.  Korea was A life changing event that I will never forget. I would love to hear from anybody from this period from A troop. I was the 3rd platoon leader's driver LT Roy Hooks, I located him from this site, I had tried to find him for several years. Keep up the good work, I truly enjoy this site. thank you

John,
Jim Julien emailed me and said you were back on the job.
Happy to see you rolling along. They have ROK soldiers on the DMZ now and I imagine a few U.S. advisors. They live like kings.
54 years sure change things. A salute to all veterans and active duty personell. I'm glad I made it to the DMZ.
Keep up the good work.

Hello John - much in life, health etc. kept me busy. Not on the computer as much - and hate phones.
I'm glad to see your up and about, you must have beat the old health problems - thats a good thing.
Out shooting since your better?
I see a lot of new troopers leaving messages - thats a good thing
as we, all troopers, can't forget - as our goverment sure don't care about us.
God bless all that served - you are a special breed - that keeps America free. But be ready to stand and be counted as Washington sure is looking down at us!
100% disabled from being shot in Korea and I'm a proud grunt that would do it all over again. I guess at 75 plus I'm a bit touched in the head!

A lot of memories of the Spartan living condtions back in 1955 to 1956 era.
I managed to save a lot of salary since there was nothing to spend it on.
I am glad I served in the US Army for my required 2 years as I was eligible for the Korean GI Bill Public law 550. I got a BS in Management out of it that has changed my life for the better.
