Just checking in to make roll call. I served on the DMZ with C Troop, 9th Cav. during 1962-63. I recently returned from a Thailand vacation where I was reminded of the village of Yongigul back in the day. This fun song about Thailand should remind many of past experiences in the vil. At 15th QM mos 550 gave the food for all the mess halls. After four months went to Soul for dog handler school near the Hon river. Went back to 15th QM served as guard with my dog from 2400 to 0600 each night, I don't have to you how cold it was. July 63 went back to Fort Ord ca. in CDEC till 65.

A TRP,1ST SQD, 9TH CAV If yes, when and where did you serve with the Cav, DEC 1966-APR 1967, VIETNAM Referred by: Browser Comments: I was one of two medics assigned to A Trp, 1st Sqd, 9th Cav (RECON) before being transferred to the 101st 2nd Bn/502nd RECON in April of 1967. I was in Vietnam from Dec 1966 to June 1968. I knew PFC Roy Colyn Green who was killed after stepping on a land mine right after exiting from the helicopter to begin our Search and Destroy mission. He was a good man and I can still remember him writing letters home whenever he got the chance. "Doc" Hernandez
