Hello! I found your web site by doing a search for Huaihua City SWI. We adopted our daughter Sarah from there in August 2008. Based on some of the dates you have posted on your web site, it sounds like our girls may have been there at the same time! We did not have any other families traveling with us when we went to China, so I would love to get in touch with someone whose child was living there around the same time. Please write if you are interested. Love the photos!

Comments: Dear J.B. and Kim, What a wonderful surprise I got yesterday when I saw a article about children being adopted by local people. Much to my surprise when I read it, I realized the 2 beautiful little girls were yours. I read everything and printed it off. What a beautiful story, Kim, you did one great job in telling the story, from beginning to the end of your journey. You need to write this in a book and have it published----it is a story everyone would love to read. Needless to say, I think the girls were VERY blessed to be with such wonderful and caring parents. On the other hand, you two are very blessed to have such beautiful little ones to take care of and love. I called your Mom J.B. it was so good to talk to her after all these years. We will have to keep in touch via the internet.
Love to you and the Little Angels

Hi, Let me introduce myself. I'm Freddie Remza, the author of a book that was recently published called "The Journey to Mei." It's a story told from a ten year old child's perspective as her family goes through the process to adopt a baby from China. I have found that many of the children's literature available on this topic is in the form of picture books for the younger child. This book is written for children ages 8 thru 12 and is meant to be another resource parents could use as their adopted daughter matures. It is also a book the child's siblings, cousins, neighbors, and friends can read not only to understand the adoption process, but to foster an appreciation for the Chinese culture and its traditions. "The Journey to Mei" is available in both paperback and hardcopy on Amazon.com. Part of my research for this story took me to China for a month. I found this country to be especially intriguing and the people very friendly. It's my hope to spread what I learned and experienced on to others with hopes all of America's Chinese daughters are raised with the pride of knowing who they are. Hope all is well with your family and my congratulations! I am sure all the frustrations of waiting all faded once you held your new child! Sincerely, Freddie Remza Author of "The Journey to Mei" Realistic Fiction for Children Ages 8-12

Dear Jenna, You are a beautiful baby and I am so glad to welcome you to America ! I've prayed for you for a long time. I read all the information about you, and guess what? We have something in common. We share the same birthday--September 2nd !!! HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY LITTLE ONE I am a special friend of your Grandma Carolyn and I knew your daddy when he was a little boy. Your mommy works with my daughter-in-law. Your big sister, Kaylee, and my granddaughter, Carlee, are classmates for the second year (now 1st grade) and they are in gymnastics together. Jenna, you are very special to the Ellerbe family! I am so happy that God brought you to us. Oh yes, Jenna, I want you to meet my adopted granddaughter, Joely. She's a joy to my heart.
