Thank you for sharing such an inspiring story! My faith wavered many times during the wait for our daughter from China and during the adoption process of our older daughter, but God always did provide in His time. Congratulations on the new job!

Thank you for your beautiful story and encouraging words!! You have a great attitude and it lifted my spirits. We are all learning, painfully, that we have no control over things in life, and we have to have faith that things will happen in the right time. It did for you, and now you can focus on your new job while you continue to wait for your daughter.
God Bless You!!

I tried to write this once and lost it right before sending it. I figure satan must not want you to get it so I am re-typing it.

I find it no coincidence that God has had our paths meet at this very time during our life stories, but rather part of His sovereign plan and I am so thankful that for it.

As I read through your pages I saw so much of my own heart in all I read. "When love takes you in" is the song my husband first played for me during our courtship and that we later danced to at our wedding. Little did we know that Steven's true meaning to the song would become our own as well. Now as we await the Lord's prompting to move to the next step of our own adoption journey, I glean encouragement from hearing of yours. We too long to take our copy of "Shaoey" off the shelf and read it to our precious child.

I know your sweet Isabella will be blessed to have such a loving family filled with God's glory and that your family will be blessed to have her be a part of it. I will be praying for her to come quickly to your arms and that as you await your trip to get her from the fields of the fatherless that you would find strength from our Gracious King!

In Christ-
Erica (your new friend from myspace)

Wow, you are in for an exciting run. There will be many hills and valleys as you travel, but the end results will be your daughter. We are 10-31-05,also. We have waited almost 2 and a half years from the very beginning of our journey, to adopt Rieley.

Good luck in your adventure and I will be following you along the way. Best wishes.

Kathy

To Randy and Elinete ~
First off, I will have to say that I have not been formally introduced to Randy but Elinete, the word that comes to me when I think about you is "bubbly."  You and I met the day I tried out for the choir at church and I'm so glad that we have become acquainted in this short time. You are so full of life with your smiles and personality! I love the church and have been blessed by God to have brought this church and wonderful friends like you into my life.
As for "Isabella" ~ I feel as though I am reading parts about my own niece "Isabella" who came into this world last night 2/21/07! Your words to your daughter were very touching to read and I am sure that she will be as blessed to have the two of you as her parents! I share this feeling as if I was "Isabella."  Although my own story is not identical to Isabella's, I wanted to share with the two of you that being born in the Philippines and as a small child, being adopted by my American father, I have been so blessed and fortunate to have come to the U.S. and experience what this country has blessed my mother, brother and I with. If it were not for my step dad, and of course God's plan for us becoming a family, I do not know where I would be today. It is an indescribable feeling to know my mother did not have to raise me as a poor, single woman in a small village because someone came along and cared SO much for me, to love me, adopt me and give me all the numerous experiences, gifts, knowledge, and most of all memories I will never forget as a child growing up into a woman. Your little Isabella will feel this same way about the two of you and she too will grow up with the happiness, security, love and commitment to keep the two of you as her loving parents and Jesus Christ in her heart FOREVER!!
BEST OF LUCK!

Hi,
My husband and I are LID 10/31/05, so we are almost next, but I just had to tell you how much I LOVE your running to China project. How I wish I had thought of that about a year ago! I'm trying to think how far I can get in about 6-8 weeks before our referral. Not 7000 miles! I may have to do it anyway. And the Bible part added... wow... your little girl is truly going to be blessed!
Keep busy during the wait. I thought it would never end and now I'm pinching myself!
Blessings!
Stacey

Dear Elinete,

Isabella is blessed by God to be place in a home so full of love. I have never known of a child that has been prayed over and lifted up. There is no doubt God has a very special plan for the three of you. I pray for a safe and speedy arrival.
