Michel Harari, 2 daughters Helen-m.2 daughters & Rachel), Nelly (m, Nathaniel Rosenberg, 3 sons, Laurence-m, 2 daughters-, Michael-m. 2 sons- & Daniel-m. 1 daughter & 1 son-) and Nisso (m. 2 daughters, Rachelle, Shauna (m.) and Moshe). Our parents, Moise Isaac and Rachel Fortunee were both born in Aram Soba (Aleppo), Syria, whose ancestors have traced their genealogical tree to the illustrious Lagnado/Laniado family which counts 11 generations of consecutive great rabbis, dayans and internationally recognized scholars (from the same family), the first one is Rabbi Shemuel who arrived in Aram Soba (by way of Andrianople, Turkey) due to the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492. We attended the "College de la Sainte Famille and Lycee Francais du Caire". I went to Paris, prepared the Concours aux Grandes Ecoles (Polytechnique and SupElec), worked at Philips Electronics (Eindhoven, Holland), brought all members of my family to join me there in 1956 and emigrated to the USA in 1958. After 50+ years of professional life, I retired in 2005 as Chief Scientist (US/Navy SSC SD, Comm. & IT Dept). I am actively looking for the family roots in Spain. My wife worked with the Egyptian Ministry of Education as an adviser through a USAID program administered by the Cairo Fullbright Commission. I was directed toward your site while running a net search on Victor Stoloff. I'm in contact with his daughter and was interested in her fathers work.

We were leaving between the no 5 gate of the port and the cornish about 3 kms from Manshieh opposite to ramlei.

My friends at school were Piera Gani-Michelle Albagli- and Viviane Franco .We have lived in Cairo up to 1958 and then moved to Heliopolis till 1964.With our mother Maria Consalez and father Ugo De Martino we left Egypt in 1964 for Italy were we are still living. My father died 1990(car crash in Rome) my mother in 1991 (after long years of illness- Milan).My brother lives in Milan and has 2 children and I live with my husband Giuseppe Scalich in Cerveteri near Rome.We have no children.I used to be Alitalia air Hostess and my husband Lufthansa Manager.We've retired from work and unfortunately now my husband has had a serious stroke . City Melbourne State Victoria Country Australia Comments: My parents, Joseph and Rachel Braunstein (nee Levy), my brother Lucien and I left Egypt in December 1956. We lived in Cairo for Naples, Italy and finally settled in Melbourne in January 1957. My mother's father Jacques Levy left Cairo in 1948 for Milan, Italy and died soon after. My uncle and auntie Edwin and Yvette Levy settled in Ashdod, Israel in 1948. My father's brothers and sisters, Mimi, Pauline and Victor settled in Australia. I am in the process of setting up a website similar to this one designed for people to create family histories. My cousins also settled here in Melbourne. They are Nicole, Anita and Rosine nee Guetta. They lived in Heliopolis and left around 1962. I would welcome any contact and this site is great.
