Hi there, Lovely website you have. I keep 11 racing pigeons in a coop in my yard and I am feeding them quite a bit of food at the moment due to the winter months. I usually feed them bucktons which in my opinion is a good source of meal for the birds. I also feed them diced apple which they seem to like. I am getting the birds ready for breeding and am very excited about the racing season. Just cant wait to see what happens. Its a privelage to keep pigeons. Im sure you would all agree, its also very rewarding.

Dear Jim and Joan,
On behalf of the members of the Thornton Hough Flying Club, may I thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your complete kindness, in coming along to our Presentation Evening, to present the prizes and trophies. My members were more than impressed with your wit, they were also impressed with your heart felt dedication to this great sport of ours. I would like to think over the years we have set up a deep feeling of loyalty towards each other, and long may it last. Once again our sincerest thanks to you and Joan, God Bless you both.

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Peter Zelovics and I am a Homing Pigeon Racer and Breeder. I live in Mór near Budapest in Hungary. I am a member of the Homing Pigeon Club in Mór.

I have a collection of Homing Pigeon Rings, I have rings from
Poland etc. but I would love to get other country's rings as well to make my collection better. I love collecting different country's rings.

Could you help me to get new rings into my collection?

Thanks for your help.

About 5 weeks ago..a beautiful pigeon landed in our yard at work and has been there ever since!
He/she seems quiet content to sit in the roof of the press shop and we have provided adequate food & water.
I have managed to capture the pigeon but been unable to find any identification at all.
There are no stamps on it's wings and it has 4 sets of beads/plastic bands on it's legs.
I have never seen these before?
Whilst we have no objection to the bird living with us...it does need a home as we will soon be breaking up for the Christmas holidays and we can't leave it alone inside for that amount of time.
I'm concerned about it being left outside too due to the danger of it being attacked by cats or the buzzards that habitat nearby.
Does anyone have any idea how we can get this bird homed?
It really is an attractive pigeon...mainly white with a grey/silvery speckled head.

Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance.
Val.

Have located the owner who is in Leicester. I'm going to feed the pigeon up and get it a lift back to the UK, where it should be able to be collected.

Found this pigeon yesterday, which seemed to fall out of the sky. HAve sent a report and hope to find the owner, as the number is GB N 55970. I am not sure if it is hurt - just in shock yesterday but seems perkier today. It has been found in Brittany, France.

A very useful website. Very much appreciated. I do hope that all the pigeons found can be reunited with their owners.

Reside in Pahrump, Nv and have a lost racing pigeon.  Would like to get it home.  It is not injured, can fly and is spending a lot of time by my front door.  Has a red tag and a orange tag one on each foot.  Red tag has number 1314. Has been by front for about 5 days.   Any help appreciated.  I do not have a lot of knowledge re racing pigeons. Thanks in advance

Hi,
I would like to say what an interesting website, I have always had a fascination with pigeons and this website has given me the drive to join my local club in Southampton.

Yours in feathers,

Dan.

Found a pigeon today.  It looked in very good condition but he must be exhausted as he has been in the same place all weekend apparently.  So glad I found this website to report him. Just hope someone gets in touch. The pigeon was mostly grey with pink around his neck.  He had a blue ring on with D168 but I couldn't get close enough to him to get the rest of the number.  He was found in Cheadle, Cheshire and has been there all weekend apparently.  He looks to be in very good condition.  Hope he can be reunited with his owner!

Whilst feeding the wild pigeons at Stewart Park, Middlesbrough with my family we noticed that there was a racing pigeon amongst them. It had a blue tag around its right leg, white head with black mark and purple feathers around its neck. It was at 1500hrs today at the feeding point just outside the restaurant / Captain Cook Museum. Hope this email helps the owner locate his handsome pigeon. Good luck
