Hello Everyone; Joan Fiser Here from Muddy,Rainy, Cold Western Pa. It was over a week ago that I wished everyone a Merry Christmas. Now Here I am wishing all a Happy New Year and a Healthy one, not only for you, but your four footers. Here's hoping that we all can achieve what we set our minds to, that all those blue and purple ribbons come your way. I have to end this note now because my Muddy Irish are wanting in. I have company coming today and I need to clean this floor and the door window. At least company can come into a clean floor and windows that you can look out of. All be safe out there tonight for those driving. Joan and My 4 Red Heads

Good Morning to all. I wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!! It's still raining here. We did have a few cold days last week with snow but that all left, and mud and rain took it's place. We have friends that have adopted dogs from GTISC, they have kept in contact and they are members also. I wanted to let all know that Setters L emails have brought up to everyone that 8pm Christmas Eve we here on the east coast will be lighting Candles for all our past Friends and past animals friends. For $1.30 at Wal- Mart you can buy those church candles or just light up what candles you have. We here in the club have lost animals this year and it always makes me feel better knowing I'm remembering them. So to each and everyone of my friends, Have a Very Blessed Christmas and very Joyous New Year! Marley, Dewey, Drummer, Diddle and Joan

Well, this is my first time writing in the Guestbook. I felt the need to follow up to what Joan said about our Santa Photo event. This is our 6th year doing this event. It started out with one little pocket digital camera and a personal photo printer. Each year we have grown, to where we did 117 photos this year. Our next event will have a full sized photo printer that can spit out the pictures in just seconds and handle the volume. We are already using two laptops. Each year, we improve on the area needed for the next year. We now have our Photographer Bob, with his SLR camera, who has taken the photos for the past 4 years. We have our own Santa George, who does well holding up for 5 or 6 hours. We not only photographed dogs, we had a rabbit, cats, children and a new baby. We had great teamwork from Club Members and others who volunteered their time. Our members live all over Western PA and WV. We thank those who could make the drive and help. It is not easy for members to always get to our events. Thank you to Agway for having us. Thank you to Dee for the Santa Suit. Thank you to Tammy and Brianne for their help with the computers, printing and any glitches from "overwork" we came across. Thank you to Joan and Lisa for helping me to set up the night before.... And to Joan for organizing everything with Agway and the newspaper. Also for our additional members (& guests) who came and were able to be there Lorrie, Ruth, Laureen, Jessica, Coleen, & Justin. And mostly THANK YOU to everyone who came for a picture, and were patient as we worked as fast as the computer and printer allowed. Our proceeds have gone to Rescue, shelters, the K9 officer, fire companies for Pet Rescue masks, and Irish Setter Rescue, to name a few organizations. May everyone have a very Merry Christmas and blessed Holiday season.

Hello Everyone, Joan Fiser here.Well, once again I survived a Santa Photo Shoot. I'm told that we had over 110 photos and will get the final total later. I just wanted to tell everyone Thank you to all that came and spent money for their photos. To all of the club members who without their help this could never be so successful. We did more sales this year than last year. Agway Store is so willing and worked with us and they helped promote this also. I have always bought from Agway feed store. They where once a co-op and all the farmers had a share in them. I was a Dairy farmer, was that for 12 years. Hard work and good family values were learned from that time down on the farm. I have a lot of respect for the farmers. It is so nice to see other pet owners thinking and loving their pets and they let them be part of the family to bring them for Photos. I always thought us Irish people were extreme. Thank You to all who helped and Have a Very Blessed Holiday ...... Joan and MY 4 Irish.

Good Morning to all from Western Pa. Joan Fiser here with my muddy Irish Setters. Countdown to Turkey Day is now 2 days. I sit here and I'm searching for reasons why and what I'm Thankful for. I'm Thankful for my dear friends who are better than family. I'm also Thankful for my family. This year my prayers where answered by getting my Dewey his Grand Champion, and His son Diddle his Championship. Drummer has points toward his Grand Championship. I'm Thankful for having my old dog Skye live as long as he did before cancer took him. And getting my health back on track. One doesn't know what meds can do or make you do till you get them balanced. I'm sure I was not the best person to live with or be around for a few months. Thank you friends for putting up with me. Also having my rescue girl Marley come into my life. Also I am Thankful for all of the dirty floors, dirty windows, torn blankets, and all the dust I put up with. And my new car that no dogs were going to go in. Thankful for handy wipes.... to clean the car. But most of all Thankful for being able to live in this great Country with our freedoms. You all have a wonderful Holiday. Remember give all a Hug and say Thank You to them.

Well it's early afternoon and Bella and I have made our third run/walk through the pastures. A very nice day with just a nip of winter in the air. We average over a mile a day!! Today Bella flushed out three wild tom turkies. It was awesome to see them take flight over the treetops and the riding ring with the horses grazing below. It seems that Bella knows the difference between "Daddy's birds" and the wild ones. There is never a problem with Bella and my two Chineese Geese and the ducks or chickens. She is also friends with the new four month old foal. One happy family here. Bella puts love and laughter into all she meets The neighbors grandchildren came to visit today and they got to pet the turkeys, Starr the foal, and Miss Bella. They had a blast!! Each child was allowed to collect a fresh brown egg from the chicken coup to take home. Life is good down on the farm....

Good Morning to all. Well it is 24 degrees here in Western Pa. Sun is coming up higher and bringing some heat with it. I wish it would work a little faster. Well it is Nov.5th and tomorrow it will be a hour behind. The last few days I have been feeding the dogs later so they sort of get used to the time change. Not working!!! The pellet stove is burning and the recliner is so soft and my blankets so warm. I'm just as snug as bug in a rug! Then the red dogs start. So out of the warm zone into the cooler air of the room..... I leave them out sit and wait for the darlings to come back. Ever wonder why they all go out together but they come back one by one? Means open the door cold air in Hot air out. Do this 3 times and then I call the others DO YOU WANT OUT.... They never move not even an eye lash.... So back to the chair it takes me while but I find my comfort zone. I don't have to say what happens next! I wish I had 5 cents for every time I open that door. It would pay for the gas I need to heat the house!! Well I hope you all have a Great Weekend & give all those four footers a Hug. Remember to turn your Clocks back tonight!!

Good Morning to all, just a quick note to let all of you know what a wonderful day our club fun day was. It started out cloudy but then the sun came out and with the big fire going, it warmed up pretty fast. For just a hot dog roast we ended up with a smoregus board of great foods. There was a beautiful Cake from Coleen for Diddle"s Championship. He did get some of it when I got home. Lisa organized her games she had us compete in. I'm so glad the dogs were in better shape than their owners. We all got to meet a 6 month old setter pup and his owner, Jessica. Oh the memories it brought back. I hated for it to end. Good friends make a great life and right now I have a great life....... Give all of your four footers a hug. Joan

Hi Bella, and ED; Bella, she's my girl, you know since she is a rescue. She is a Champion of My Heart. Bella was very lucky to find a forever home with ED and Pam. Bella living a life I'm sure that my guys would love to have. You have to remember it took a village to get Bella to where she is. We here at Golden Triangle work as a team. We read about Bella needing a home NOW... or else. Well we had to get her or else she was getting picked up in the parking lot of the shelter where she was going to go. Deb picked her up. I drove to Deb's to pick Bella up, took her to the vets and kept her for couple of weeks, going back and forth to the vet. Bella was lucky I let her go!!!! I had her for to many days and she was bonding with me, even though I did not want that to happen. Yes, Bella had her toys here also. She would crawl up to me on the recliner. She thought she was home! What most rescuers call a FUREVER Home and that was with ED and PAM.... West Virgina will never be the same!!! Thanks GUYS.. Joan
