Hi  Len,
You wont remember me  ,  we have spoken a couple of times while you were pastoring at Victory  in Newcastle.  I saw you on the documentary tonight on the ABC  about the forgotten children  on the farm at Molong .. I was very touched.  I had no idea that that was a part of your life.

I have always appreciated your music and  "genuine"  spirit

Hello Len, It was so awesome to have found your website and to be able to get some info that helps to fill in some the gaps about what I know about you. Like everyone else, your music has greatly impacted my life; the poetry in your songs made listening a joy and was simply compelling in its message and themes. I vividly remember you coming to Guyana, South America with Ron Jones of Elim UK in 1975 or was it 1976 - at least it was after your first album. The only song I remember that night at the Elim church Albert Street was "The Train Goes Down The Track". I was 13 or 14 at that time so you could imagine the standard your music set for my life. After your visit the music was used a great deal on Elim's weekly radio broadcast which helped to popularise it in Guyana. The radio station liked your music that they asked for your albums and received them as the years went by. As I grew older, I learned to play keyboard and Guitar and naturally I was singing and playing your songs. The first I performed was The Train. I would listen to the LPs, write the words down then listen to the song again and while playing along on the piano, would find the chords; I still have those manuscripts. I will be doing Nativity this year at our church's christmas concert. I must say that the song "Only A Prayer Away" is still played on the local airwaves in Guyana and I'm talking secular radio! Thanks Len for your ministry and how it has been a defining influence in my life and so many lives in Guyana. God Bless. Hope to visit your church oe day soon.

Hi Len

Well first off I have never known your music and am so sorry that I never knew of it when I first came to know the Lord in 1981.
Just last week my wife and i went into a second hand store in Richards Bay and bought all the old records that they had on sale. Among the lot I found two of your albums. So I picked out the first one that said 18 Len Magee Classics and loaded my turntable with the side one facing up. Number 1 being Son of a King. Different but nice. Then not my own Will, Then Freedom Road.Wow!!! This song has changed my life all over again, even my sons love.Every morning and evening I play your Album, over and over again.
Thank you for such super songs. They are amazing, even if it is 28 years on. They still mean a great deal.

Tons of Love In Christ from Bruce,Alma and kids.

Hi there Len,
How amazing and wonderful to find your website and to know that you're alive and well 'down under'!
Mark was a Pharmacy student at Portsmouth Polytechnic ('75-'78) and a member of the Elim Church (Arundel Street?) in Portsmouth for 3 years where I believe you were the Youth Pastor at the time and had just married Heather.
Mark and I met at the Royal Albert Hall in London (Jan 10th 1976 to be precise!) where you were taking part in a youth event called 'Welcome to the Family', which brought youth groups from all over the UK to one of the first events of its kind. I was part of another youth group in Hampshire and Mark was with your youth group which included my friend Becky Kemp! I went to speak to her and that's how Mark and I met. We've just celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary!!! So thank you for bringing us together!!!
Also thank you so much for your musical influence and blessing to us both at that time and since. You introduced the Swedish Youth choir 'Choralerna' to us (we still have their LP!),other musicians and singers and YOUR music of course! 'Only a prayer away' is our favourite. When we got engaged, we started singing together (which we did for about 10 years) and we often sung that one which people loved. I (Hazel) am still involved in singing in our church worship team here in Lincoln.
Our 2 children are both involved in Christian music. Suzanna sings and Andy is a drummer - they both have heard all about you and your music over the years!!!
I don't expect you will remember us but we certainly remember you, and thank God for the major influence you made on our lives and the lives of many others at that time and since. So -  THANK YOU!

Every blessing to you and Heather and your family and ministry,

Mark and Hazel Hutton

Hi Len,

long time no contact and you may or not remember me, but my intuition of you as a very genuine guy tells me that you will!!!

I especially remember a very "real" talk that I had with you at a cafe in Watford when you were a Pastor at Watford Elim Pentecostal Church. I remember us both grumbling about the evil created by malicious gossip.

MUCH MORE IMPORTANT I REMEMBER YOUR BEAUTIFUL MUSIC AND AM SO PLEASED TO MAKE CONTACT WITH YOU AGAIN.I remember that you found the pressures of being in demand as a Christian Artist a lot at that time, so , I am overjoyed to hear that you are still playing.

For your memory I was a " skinny " 6ft tall Englishman who played a song called "Holy Roller" that went on for over 10 minutes. I remember you gave me some brilliant and honest advice about keeping my songs simple which I took too heart.

Today I live in Thailand with Yanipha ( my Wife ) on an NHS pension and have started playing again ( well I never gave up !!!)

In Thailand I have a faithfull Wife, a lovely home and a family dog called Bert named after my favourite guitar player ( Bert Jansch. )

After a journey through Buddhism I read the Bible afresh and rediscovered my Christian faith-well I never lost it completely!!!

I would very much like to hear from you again when you have time.

Although " a lot of water has flowed under my bridge " my memories of you are as " fresh as yesterday ".

Please send my love to Heather.

You had a great influence upon my life.

I hope to hear from you.

Love in Christ.

Dave.

I recently had a reunion gathering of my college mates -it was our 30th Anniversary -and as we began to worship the Lord together - we started singing the songs that touched our hearts and blessed us incredibly in the late 70s -and we  sang "Blue Skies" and "Only a prayer away" -  I just want to say thank you, Len for giving us such beautiful songs...
In fact, we would like to invite you to visit us here in  Malaysia again - i was at your concert in 1982 - just fresh from Bible College. Today, I am an ordained minister with  AOG Malaysia. If  you read this comment. please do kindly contact me.

God bless you and Heather richly!

Grace and peace be multiplied to you and family in the name of Jesus. He's only a prayer away came to my mind tonight and I typed it in on youtube and was linked to your website. Brother your music and testimony was a great influence in my life when   I was born again in 1978, it's a blessing to email you and say that your ministry brings praise to God through the hearts of many believers. Keep the faith pure and undefiled, preach the Word in season and out of season. Jesus said that 'My words are spirit and they are life, it is the Spirit that gives life the flesh profits nothing'. God bless you abundantly.
In Christ,
Brother Roland

Hello Len

Greetings to you in the precious name of Jesus.  I was on the internet today and I stumbled on some of your music it reminded of the day when I was still a very young girl going to church when you visited Guyana and our little church in Agricola where Pastor Joseph Ramdeen was pastor.  I was so blessed to listen to the music again and it just sent me back in time.  God bless you.  Keep up the good work.

I now reside in the USA and so is Pastor Ramdeen and Family.

Dear Len,

I came across your music as a young Christian in 1983 while living in a fellowship student house and your songs brought the realization of God's love into my life. I was there at your concert in Petaling Jaya Civic Centre, Malaysia together with my campus friends. Remember buying 2 cassettes that were played and played until the sound got scratchy. God bless you for your ministry.

Dear Len,

Just wanted you to know how much your songs had contributed to my spiritual growth during my university days in Penang, Malaysia, in the early 80s. Your lyrics were so poignant, sincere and powerful during my early Christian growth. The messages of faith in the songs opened my heart to a personal saviour. I remember how I was so ‘addicted’ to all your songs and knew every line.  It is funny how I never knew anything about you but was so dependent on the songs for worship.  Recently, I was thrilled to obtain your songs on CD to share with my kids. Thank You, and I am eternally grateful.

Rich blessings,

Prema Devathas

Wow! Thank you for building this web site. I first got a hold of your music back in 1975 through an Irish businessman in Nigeria. I was then a new babe in Christ. Your lyrics were my testimony put in far better way than I could have ever communicated it. Your songs drew me into the Presence of the Lord and I found myself returning over and over again for more of God's love and inspiration. Thank you for making the songs and albums available. Yes, I was one of those over the years who have inquired everywhere trying to find your ministry. In 1978-79 I called Brentwood Music in Nashville, TN to no avail. I Googled your name a few times and found your church info, but no music. Every time I ran into anyone from Australia even as recently as last week I asked if they knew of you or your music. But tonight, by God's grace, I typed your name on Bing search engine and, presto. I started to shout halleluJah. Needless to say I ordered both volumes of Prayer Song right away. Thank you for ministering the message of redemption so powerfully. Your songs help me to get into the inner sanctum and bask in the Presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you and your sister and all yours, In Jesus Name! Now I can sing again, "My soul has found peace and my searching was through." Glory to the Kind Shepherd.

Hi! Thanks so much for building this website. I tried finding Len's music a few years ago, and gave up. But today while I was looking at an album on Ancient Star-Song, Ken Scott (Archivist) mentioned his name and I started thinking about Len's songs. I have on old scratched vinyl ..the one with Freedom Road, and Mary, Mary...I also started thinking about Pat Berning's album 'A Warm September Day in Summer '69' ...quite mouthful..hey?  He wrote a song 'Stop and Think About The Nails In His Hands'.
Well, eventually I discovered a site where people were chatting about Len and mentioned this website. So here I am and deeply grateful that this music has been allowed to reach out to the  hearts of millions of people on the Internet. I was listening to a wonderful tribute by another brother on youtube and I am going to definitely write a tribute to your music. It is special and having come out of the same lonely background to a life in the love of Jesus, I really am blessed to hear these songs again.  Take care, and see you over there. Eric.

Your songs have always been special to me and my family. I had heard sing you when you visited our church -Elim , in Guyana. This was around 1973 or so?  My parents had a tape of you singing with just your guitar.I even remember a particular song you did on that tape-Carried on the shoulders of the shepherd........
Best wishes

Len your music meant so much to me as young christian living and working away from home on merchant ships and when my brother and I got the chance to lead worship in our home church one Christmas eve we used the song nativity as a duet and everyone commented how the song helped to bring over the true meaning of Christmas.
