My William H. Henderson was b. in Garrard Co., KY, along the Dix River near Lancaster. His parents were John and Nancy (Singleton) Henderson, both b. VA. they were m. in Lincoln Co, KY - a part that later became Garrard Co. They had a large family, of which William H. was the second, b.16 NOV 1795. He was a member of the 1st KY Riflemen in the War of 1812. He then moved to TN.He was the first sheriff of Stewart Co., where he m. Lucinda Wimberly.11 JAN 1816.They had three children: Mary Ann, John wimberly, and William Perry. His wife d. 23 JAN 1823. He then married in Haywood Co., TN Sarah Murphy Howard, 6 NOV 1823. They had five sons and one daughter. Elizabeth d. as an infant. The sons were:Thomas Jefferson (who was a breveted General in the Civil War), Stephen Howard, Henry Clay,Daniel Webster and James Allen. He was elected to the Senate of TN in 1835.Meanwhile, he had platted the town of Brownsville. After one year he resigned from the Senate, as he had planned to relocate in IL where there was very good land. His parents had meanwhile moved to Hayward Co., also, and both of them died there and are buried in the Sevier family plot in Oakwood Cemetery, Brownbville, as a granddaughter had m. a Sevier. william built a cabin on Indian Creek of Spoon River, a mile south of what is now Tiulon, IL. Right after arrival, he was elected to the State Legislature from three area counties. While there, he managed to get a bill passed that made Stark County a county, and he also helped pick the spot for the county seat and named it Toulon. He was a very close friend of Abe Lincoln, as was his son, Gen. Thomas J. After 15 years in Stark County, he moved his family to Marshalltown, IA area and built up a nice farm there. He d. 27 JAN 1864. They are both buried in Marshall Town, IA. His father, John Henderson, came from along Taylor's Creek, Hanover, VA. His father was William, who lived and died in VA and his grandfather was Thomas, also living and dying in VA. Thomas' father was another William. I was searching for a good photo of William H. to put in the History of Stark Co. that is currently being written and publiched by the Stark Co. Genealogy Society. If anyone is interested, I am on ancestry.com.I filled in the letters below, but when I previewed my story, they disappeared, so I can't enter them again. Sorry.

I'm wanting to know if a family tree exists for Albert Clay Henderson? He was born 30-Jul-1844 in Blount Co., died in Braggs, OK., 30-Oct-1914 and was buried at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs. His wife was Mary A. Henderson (Love) born 12 Feb 1853 in Blount Co. and died 07 Feb 1906 and is buried at Holston College Cemetery in Louisville, TN. Albert was a son of William (b. 1806) and Mary (b. 1808) Henderson of Louisville, TN. They are both buried in Holston College Cemetery.

Thank you.
