Comments: Dear Colette and Dan,
I could not be more happy for you and the boys! In the pictures and posts you already seem like a natural family - I am sure that feeling will only continue to grow. Eva is a beautiful little girl and seems to already love you both and seems to have a lovely little personality, too!
Many, many congratulations.
Love, Lauren

Comments: WELCOME HOME!! If you thought the marathon trip home was going to be difficult, wait till you experience the next two weeks with a jet-lagged toddler, jet-lagged parents, and two boys who are probably dying to spend time with all 3 of you! :-) Just kidding.
But that said, be sure to be good to yourselves, and don't get too frustrated if the timetable for adjustment doesn't go quickly enough. It's a weird, weird thing transitioning from the surreal experience of China to the realities of home, and there will be times that you look at her and shake your head in amazement that she is finally here with you, at home at last.
Now, we expect pictures of the reunion with the boys!! :-)
Best wishes to the whole family, Julie

Comments: Dear Colette, Daniel and Eva: Sounds like you are currently en route home...wishing you the best of travel. I remember holding Maia for hours on the darkened plane, feeling her finally melt in my arms and simply gaze at me as we walked up and down the aisles. So athough it was long and difficult, I will always remember our trip home as a loving leap of closeness for Maia and me. Last night we returned from 10 days at the beach so we just caught up on your trip; your website is wonderful. It is great to see Eva's beautiful smile and blossoming personality. Max was ecstatic to hear that Daniel loved the bacon at the White Swan as it was one of the highlights of the trip for him. Maia asked many questions about Eva, particularly if she has her own pair of squeaky shoes. Seeing your photos and reading your text, we felt like we were reliving our own trip, so thank you for that gift. We wish for you the same joy that our incredible daughter has brought to us since our journey four years ago. We hope to see you soon.
Much love, Mern, Mike, Max and Maia

Comments: Colette and family! It sounds like your trip was wonderful and that Eva is doing very well adapting. She is simply gorgeous! I love the smiles in the photos and the sleeping ones too! Hope your trip back to your boys (and other family and friends) is uneventful and faster than expected. It's a long haul on the way home. Can't wait to read how the introductions between the big brothers and baby sister go. I'll look for you on the ducky bbs when you get a chance to visit.
Congratulations! You made it finally! Amy (Gab on ducky on bb)

Dear Daniel and Colette
We have known Daniel since he was in preschool, living kitty-corner to our house, and a friend to all three of our kids. We rejoice with both of you as you bring your beautiful daughter home to your family. Congratulations, too, to Eva Grace's older brothers. And, we appreciate both the beautiful pictures and the beautiful prose that conveyed the joys of your journey and your family to the rest of us.
With love, Phil and Carolyn Cowan

Comments: I just read your post for today regarding dinner options. The bagel place you are looking for is Danny's Bagels. I have heard people rave about that food for years, but had heard that he moved off island and not sure he still delivers to the hotels. Also, have you tried Lucy's? If not, search it out. It will give you some comforting American food.
Otherwise, you have a beautiful daugther. I love that you are conveying what you are going through with her. It feels like we are there experiencing it with you. The good and the difficult. Sometimes we need to read posts that aren't all full of smiles and giggles. I know it may not be like that. I need to be reminded of the challenges ahead.
Waiting for 2 1/2 yo in Hunan. Melissa KY
