Hi!  I have read and re-read your story many times!  My husband and I so badly want to adopt a little girl with special needs from China.  What agency did you work with and how long did the process take for you?  Thanks so much!

I would love to talk with you about your ministry and how you got it started. Were in the process of adopting and would like to start something in our church. Please e-mail me at your convenience. I'd also like to know how long your process took.

Jenny: I love your website and read updates reg on this site. I just noticed that Emily and my daughter Claire Grace have the same bday. My daughter was adopted Nov 12th 2008 from the province of Hunan at 12mos. Her SN is Hep B and she is very healthy and doing great. She is 25lbs. So your Emily is very petite like you said. Her feet look wonderful. I received Claire's Pic last Aug and was gone 90 days later. My first daughter Olivia was adopted at 10mos in Dec of 2004 at the age of 10mos also from Hunan. Claire came off the quick track and I did not even dream in a million years that both of my girls would be from the same area. I am a single mom by choice and we have such a beautiful life. If China would let singles adopt again I would do another SN little girl all over again. You have a beautiful family. Will think about you all on Halloween this yr.

Hi.
My little girl's name is Emily Meilynn. I adopted her last year in September at 7 y/o.
http://waiting4emily.blogspot.com/ My blog.

Anyhoo...congratulations on your new daughter and your new adventures. So happy for you.

Another little girl who was adopted 2 weeks before mine was is also from the same SWI as mine. We stay in touch w/her family. She's had feet/leg issues. Mom is a pediatrician. WONDERFUL family.
Here's their blog in case you want to check them out, get info, etc. Great information posted. I'm sure she'd email you, too.
Best to you all!!

Jenny and Mike~

I have followed your blog since before your journey to China.  Emma is SO beautiful and your story just tugs at my heartstrings.  My husband and I are also in the process of trying to adopt a little girl from China who also has SN.  We attend our pre-adoption classes this week and our homestudy follows.  At that point they said they would be comfortable requesting "her" papers.  The little girl we want to adopt turned one in February.  It's amazing how God works and opens doors that you never once even imagined.  He is SO faithful!  Here is the link to our blog if you would like to stop in for a visit sometime!   http://acornsandcherryblossoms.blogspot.com/

Keep posting about little Emma...we love seeing her progress and the joy she brings to your family.  Such a sweetie!

Blessings and Hugs!  <><

Jenny and Mike,

I enjoyed reading Emily Mei's adoption story. What a beautiful sweet baby! How fabulous to see how well she has done with the serial casting for her feet.

My husband and I also adopted a baby with bilateral clubfeet in China in December. She is currently in casts including a full body cast for dislocated hips until May 4th. Can't wait for this phase to be over and to watch and help her learn to move, crawl and walk. Our Lia's website is: myadoptionwebsite.com/liashu

Feel free to email if you'd like to share experiences: ktrangsrud @yahoo.com

Regards,
Kristin
