The Red Cross in Nassau County is holding its first Vision Breakfast at the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City on Wednesday, November 18th at 7:30 AM. The purpose of the one hour free breakfast is to spread the word about all the programs the Red Cross is offering Nassau County residents, including our new learn to swim initiative in Hempstead and Freeport that has the backing of the US Olympic Committee's USA Swimming program.  We are the only Red Cross Chapter in the country to have qualified as a local partner of USA Swimming.

 

Our keynote Vision speaker will be The Hon. Ed McCarty who will share his story of being a volunteer for the Nassau Red Cross in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.

The event is totally free as a sponsor is paying for the breakfast.  At the end of the event we do ask for contributions but submitting one is voluntary.
