Where have you seen Harry? Many places

Where do you live? Aiken, SC

Comments:

Harry, you were as great as ever at Tommy Condon's. We left before you finished as we could not hear you well above all the noise. We were upset as the staff would not let us keep our  front table when we had more people join us. I don't know what the deal was & why they wanted us to move to a back table. They said something about the tables were for people ordering food, but we did & also had drinks.  We got there early, just so we could be near to hear you good. Will see you at "another" place.

Hi Harry,

Great to hear you live again St. Patrick's week!

Special thanks for Molly Malone, The Flower Seller, and the MTA especially brought back some fond memories; Barber and Joe Bancroft loved to sing Kingston Trio things together when we were in high school, and they sounded great doing them..as did you.

Hope all's at least as well as can be expected with you & yours in view of your recent loss; will probably get back through Savannah sometime in December. If that run coincides with a gig of yours at Barry's or Condon's, and my accomodations are more accomodating than this last trip (!), then I hope to make it through an entire show to hear "The Parting Glass".

Note to anyone reading this: Harry's shows are anything but soporific; this listener was just worn out generally from spending the week sleeping in a compact car...not recommended for road trips lasting longer than two days for people over 3 feet tall!

All best, and thanks again for two great shows!

Where have you seen Harry? In addition to his usual Savannah venues, the Fly's Tie in Jacksonville (does that place still exist?)

Comments:
Cathy and I are very sorry that we were unable to attend the memorial service for your Mother, but we have been keeping you, Tracy and the rest of your family in our thoughts and prayers.  Having been under the weather we didn't need to be there passing it on to others, though.

I guess that if we were going to be sick it was a good thing that it was then rather than Festival weekend.

Hope to see you again soon!

So sorry for your Great loss Harry.  My heart and thoughts to you and your family.  It's always hard to say good-by to a Mother, especially a good one.  My own Dorothy Ann Flaherty Mahar Riley passed on Thanksgiving in 2001 and all I can do is thank the good Lord for the Blessings she gave me for so long and all that I am because of her.  And the Voyage continues....life is an ocean and love is a boat.

Take good care of yourself and those you love always.  Hope to see you again real soon my friend and God Bless.

Dear Harry,

So good to see you and hear you again at the festival this past Sat.  We enjoyed your songs and also liked Carroll's music. It was a pleasure to meet Traci, a beautiful lady inside and out.
With regard to your inner most feelings with the loss of your mother, you are correct in the knowledge that healing takes time.  However, you may find comfort in knowing that she is watching over you and yours. There will be signs of her caring when you meet challenges. You may find yourself reflecting how she would have handled a particular situation.  Seek peace in her spiritual presence.

Take care and be in touch.

          Laurel and Richard

P.S. We think "Indigo Impulse" might work!

Where have you seen Harry? Kevin Barry's

Where do you live? Los Gatos, CA

Cheers from California Harry!  I saw you close to 10 years ago and regret that I haven't been back since (living across the country makes that a challenge).  A few months ago I started an Irish heritage website for O'Briens (http://www.obrienstore.com) and began writing reviews of Pubs.  When Savannah came to mind, so did Kevin Barry's and Harry O'Donoghue.  Coincidentally, I first reviewed O'Donoghue's in Phoenix, Arizona.

Glad to see you are still playing; I'll have to grab a copy of the 25th anniversary CD.  Come by and check how I felt about the experience ;)  I hope it does you justice.

Cheers

Paul

We were able to spend time in Savannah on our honeymoon in early January.  We truly enjoyed the show two nights in a row including a very laid back Sunday night.  We’re looking forward to spending some more time in town down on the water enjoying a great Irish show in a great little pub.  Thanks for taking time out of your evening to chat with us and we very sorry to hear of your recent loss.

Our deepest condolences,

Murhpys
