Comments: Life is so cruel. You were doing a wonderful thing, I know that. So many people don't care, and just throw their cats away like trash. You were helping them, the ranch was beautiful. Why are people always looking for a fight?! If you have something great, people try to take it away from you, it's jealousy, ignorance, and plain idiotic human behaviour. There is a thing called karma, and it's real! Keep your head up! (hugs)

Comments: Dear Sir, congratulation to your work. It is a very nice place for all these cats. If I have seen your internet page, immediately I thought: that was the same idea we had. I want to invite you to visit our little Association Nid'Accueil (nidaccueil.free) here in Burgundy where we save life of many cats, also some dogs and horses. Unfortunately, we live in a could area of Europe and we have to heat their little "chalets" during 8 months a year. How you proceed during the winter time? I'm very happy to know that there are a place like this to secure all these beautiful animals. Greetings from France, Eliska

Comments: Dearest Craig, it has only been a year since I visited the Ranch, and my heart breaks to see the most recent pictures. I thought it was the happiest place on earth. I now encourage everyone who will listen to NOT donate to the ASPCA or PETA. I tell your story to anyone willing to hear it. I ask anyone reading this to access sites such as Charity Navigator to give honest reviews of the 2 organizations in order to reduce their ratings. I wish there was more that could have been done to help. Praying for you and thinking of you often! Ellen

Comments: This is one of the most fantastic and humane things I have ever seen! I have always had cats, but never that many LOL. It is amazing how each one is different. I volunteered at a big cat sanctuary - so you never got to pet them. If I lived close to you I would volunteer my time to you, too. Thanks so much for being a wonderful person. You have my undying respect.

Comments: I myself as well as my siblings are all animal lovers. My brother, my sister and I all participate in the TNR program and have three shelters and three feeding stations in two different locations, not een in our own neighborhood. We have come across many a situation in which people will knowingly let their animals have kittens, roam freely and be "outdoor cats" without giving them the proper medical attention or shelter they need. It breaks our hearts when we have female cats with kittens who need food & shelter, and clearly a safe place.
Animal control and the shelter did not come help us so we helped ourselves and the cats. We now have a plot in a community garden where we are working to keep them safe from other businesses in the area.
I hope that the community comes together to help you with your animals....after all it was a community in which they began and they are now the responsibility of all of ours. Please let us know how we can help.

My heart broke and the tears came tumbling down my cheeks. We have always had walk on furries and made them a part of our family. Each one has been special and with special needs, we did not care they where out family and you do what you have to for family. Why? Why destory these furries home? Why destory their place that they where loved? Why detroy their source of food and water. Why detroy a sancturay that took such good care of these wonderful creatures? Why destroy a man that did nothing but offer all of this and so much more? Power? The power to say my way or no way? The Power to destroy life inself? Control - the power to be the " one " in control, my way is the only way? Where was the " Protection " and " Concern " for the furries? Where was and is the love? If there where issues - work them out - or is the ASPCA so concerned that this man and this sanctuary will over shadow them and allow others like them to exist to take away the " lime " light from the ASPCA or even better - contributions??? It is a very sad day that so few have such great power and use it the wrong way. Not for good of the furries but to destroy the furries and a warm loving man. There will be a " Rainbow " over Caboodle Ranch and Sanctuary again, this is am sure but we all must stand up to injustice and support what is right and good.

Comments: I love this site. After viewing the pictures, I do not understand how anyone can want to cause them problems. The cats are as well cared for as my own. I wish I had as much space for my cats as these ones have. Bless them.

Comments: I have sent donations a couple of times when I could for the cats and for your defense. I was heartbroken to see how Caboodle Ranch looks now after the devastation of the ASPCA and angry that these so called rescuers left others to starve and die. I hope that you can rebuild.

Comments: I wrote PETA regarding their trying to close Angel's Gate in NY, a rescue for the "train wrecks". They wrote back, but I don't believe/trust them at all. Special needs kitties went to Angel's Gate that were rejected elsewhere. Yes, PETA is aiming to destroy that rescue also. I so hate PETA and wish they could be stopped. They kill most of the animals they get their hands on. What they have done to Caboodle is heartbreaking. They kill ferals. What a world we live in.

Last night a lady told me about this wonderful place called Caboodle Ranch and told me to look it up on the web. This morning, I did, and as I saw the first photo of the "Ghost Ranch" I started to cry, for I already knew what had happened. I am so sorry this has happened! I do think the ASPCA and PETA are often beneficial, however, I think sometimes they overstep their bounds and this was one of those times. They could've helped, rather than destroy, as so often is the case. I have shared your story on Facebook and will ask everyone I know to share and donate. Please don't give up! Somewhere there is a place that will welcome you and I encourage you to find that place!
I foster cats and up until last November, I had fifty seven in my care when a house fire virtually rendered me homeless overnight with all these animals in my care. (None were injured in the fire) At that time, my husband told me I had gotten myself in this mess and it was up to me to get myself out of it, and he promptly went home to live with his mother. Suddenly, I found myself with no home, no family and no income, with all these cats to care for. Hounded by Animal Control as we were shuffled from place to place seeking a new home, I felt pressed beyond measure and the only thing that kept me going was my love for these precious cats. Finally, last month, when I was at the utter end of my rope, one of my old biker buddies and his wife brought us to live at their beautiful place deep in the country. So, I know a little bit about what you have gone thru and I want you to know you will have my support in whatever way I can support you. Just don't give up!
