As you said age is in our mind however there is a lot of pressure in our society to LOOK young at any costs. Especially women: In people press and Woman magazines, 99% of celebrities desperately try to look 20 when their biological age is 50+. Nobody accept a young mind in an old body and that is the paradox of our modern life, we live longer but we still get wrinkles at about the same age our mothers did.

Which city and country are you writing from? Toronto Comments: In September I enrolled in a French Course, I am the oldest in the class, which really does not bother me at all. It is exiting to refresh my memory of the French I learned when I was younger, The interaction with other students is an important part of this process in keeping the mind active.

I've been retired for 2 years (therefore am 60+) and started an 18 month calligraphy course at the beginning of this year - just wonderful. We have a wonderful teacher and she inspires and motivates us to do the most creative things - and that when so many people would say "but I'm not a creative person". What nonsense! Can I quote Gary Player? "The more I practice, the luckier I get." In my experience that certainly also applies in creativity. Enjoy your creative writing - and tough for those who say that you are too old; they certainly don't know what they miss out on.
