Age is a Figment of the imagination ~ A Beautiful Mind is so recognized by an individual as a writer, poet, etc. one that crafts themselves to create new challenges as simple as a crossword puzzle enhancing their ability to move forward and standing with self worth ~ acknowledge your blessing.

Yes, I am crazy  - if I don't keep learning until the end. Isn't that what life is about, among other things? Looking forward to next Sunday's Minute.

I do believe we are all here to do the best we can at this life,  to grow, and learn, and not just learn from life experences, but to learn everything we can, even if it's something we're not very good at.   But, maybe we would like to be, so we try, and maybe even move on to something else....what the heck, life IS learning new things.  We all need to expand our horizons !

Good one Bruno! One of my favorite sayings is:  "It's not how old you are, it's how you are old."

Bruno, you are a living example of the ageless and timeless joy we can all experience when we choose to consciously live every moment of our life.  Your thoughts on aging are refreshing and true!  I no speak negatively about my age.  I now choose to define myself not in years, but in terms of my consciousness, which is childlike, open and forever curious about this thing called life.  Much admiration, from your newest fan in Michigan,  Cheri

Hi Bruno! I certainly agree that learning is a life long process. My friend Ruth (who is very smart) disagrees with me about taking on a new study, (I'm too old to start to learn something new). I get excited with new ideas to pursue.

Vielen Dank für all Ihre Bemühungen.

The old saying is you are never to old to learn and that is so true.If you look and listen you can learn something new most every day.

Very good comment as usual and could not agree more.
As you said age is in our mind however there is a lot of pressure in our society to LOOK young at any costs. Especially women: In people press and Woman magazines, 99% of celebrities desperately try to look 20 when their biological age is 50+. Nobody accept a young mind in an old body and that is the paradox of our modern life, we live longer but we still get wrinkles at about the same age our mothers did.

I have a friend (57) who has just completed his law degree (while holding a full-time job).  I intend to complete my dissertation (I am 56).  I think learning should be lifelong.

In September I enrolled in a French Course, I am the oldest in the class, which really does not bother me at all. It is exiting to refresh my memory of the French I learned when I was younger,  The interaction with other students is an important part of this process in keeping the mind active.

Bravo, Bruno!! I've been retired for 2 years (therefore am 60+) and started an 18 month calligraphy course at the beginning of this year - just wonderful. We have a wonderful teacher and she inspires and motivates us to do the most creative things - and that when so many people would say "but I'm not a creative person". What nonsense! Can I quote Gary Player? "The more I practice, the luckier I get." In my experience that certainly also applies in creativity. Enjoy your creative writing - and tough for those who say that you are too old; they certainly don't know what they miss out on.
