Comments: I have lived my entire 50 years in the south - Arkansas, to be exact. I must comment that I think Kyra does an amazing job with her accent. Any true Southerner gets sick/angry/frustrated by the way Hollywood generally fakes the accent. It's almost as if they are trying to make the character sound like a hillbilly. For a girl from New York, Kyra has one of the most natural southern voices on tv. I think that is a great compliment to her abilities & whomever her voice coach might be. Comments: I have enjoyed so many of Ms. Sedgwick's films for such a very long time. When The Closer came to television's TNT I was totally hooked. I am on that forum on a regular basis. I have yet to find a performance of this fine lady that didn't get very high marks. She clearly enjoys the work that she does. . .this comes through to the viewer: she never disappoints. I also believe that her professional life stands as a fine example to other young women whatever professional field that they may choose. I also loved her when she appeared on "Actor's Studio." There are few actors that I return to again and again. Ms. Sedgwick's work is now at the head of this list. In my mind she joins Bette Davis, Olivia DeHavilland, Jodie Foster, Elizabeth Taylor, Montgomery Cliff, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Paul Newman, and Colin Firth to name a few. I look forward, always, to her continuing work.

Comments: Kyra was at the Sunshine Kids 25th Anniversary Gala in Houston, Texas, on March 27. The Sunshine Kids is a charity for kids with cancer. Kyra was extremely nice to everyone. She took the time to sign autographs and personally speak to everyone in attendance. Kyra is so down to earth. One would never know she is a major star by talking to her. She doesn't talk down to whom she is speaking, unlike some stars. I'm an even bigger fan of Kyra's after meeting her. Kyra added sunshine to the lives of many Sunshine Kids, myself included.
