Hey Sis! I'm sorry to hear about your floor problems. I had a problem with my bathroom but refuse(d) to get stressed over it....just go with the flow. Hugs for little Ben. I'll bet he's getting cuter by the second.

23 Degrees here and NO snow at all Denise. I can't believe the winter we are having here so far. Works for me though. LOL
Barb, hope your floor goes in OK for you. Now I don't feel so bad. Ours ended up about $800 more, not a couple thousand. I would have cried for sure. And we had to level the floor too and that's what started all the problems. He did something wrong and the whole floor was uneven once he laid the vinyl down. He had to get a new floor and wasn't too happy.Then he tried to talk me into a ceramic floor but I don't like them, so wanted a vinyl one. Then he screwed up the trim and baseboards and we had to pay for it all, and then start over as I wouldn't let him put it down. Of course the second time around it was twice as much money, but it looks so great I don't care now. It was an extremely stressful month though. And you wouldn't believe the dirt that came out of the carpet in the hall by the bathroom once we cleaned them. I almost died. Hope yours goes a bit smoother.  Have a great trip too. This bathroom was our trip for the next few years I think. LOL And Evan is adorable too. He's growing so fast.
Ben just left. I think we're starting the terrible twos a few months early. LOL
Eileen, I meant to say in my last post that I sold some of my artist bears with Bearpaths in OH a few months ago. If anyone is looking for any artists in particular, let me know. I may be getting rid of more soon. Just don't have the room anymore with all the stuff we have here for Ben now.
OK, gotta go grab a coffee and watch The Bachelor. Love this one!!

Well, I just sorta skimmed through the board and it looks like SNOW all around.
How's the temps around everyone else? It's 17 here right now. No wind, thank goodness and very sunny.
I'd rather have the snow everyone else is getting because here in Central Illinios it's not happening.....yet

I have been very busy and don't get in here to often.
Buffy, I hope your GS is doing better with the asthma. A lot of people are having a hard time with this cold air. Baby Evan is doing well. He is eating cereal and vegis now. Here is my Son's website with some pictures http://babytomasov.sassafrasnet.com
Carol, I understand about the remodeling. We are doing hardwood floors in 3 rooms. We had to empty the rooms and remove the carpeting. When the installers came they decided we needed to level the floors. That cost a few thousand more and took thursday and friday to do. Today they are coming back to start the flooring. We are leaving on weds for Daytona and I sure hope it is finished by then. We are sleeping in the kids old room until our bedroom is finished and we can move the furniture back in. Mort has to put on the trim after the floor is in. What a mess.
I also have been working a lot and sewing alot. I sew some of the samples for my fav quilt shop. That keeps me busy plus my own stuff to sew.
I hope eveyone is doing well and keeping healthy.

No snow here, but a lot of rain...... We are going to need an Ark soon!
School was great this week. My first week back since Christmas break. I was very tired every day, but the students were good. My foot was wanting another week off! We are busy getting ready for competition.

Hi Eileen...yes I am still around. It is just not much action on this
board anymore so never seem to write. Glad you are doing well.
Yes I am enjoying my new cork floor. Just have to swifter it twice a week and it looks fine. I did use the mop and solution that came with it last week to give it a good cleaning. Only suppose to use it every 3 or 4 months but thought I would try it and it works great.
I can't believe the winter we have had here in Ontario. No snow
to rant about. Only get an inch or two and then it is gone. We haven't brought up our snowblower from the basement yet this
year. It has been cold but I can take that.
Glad to see all are doing well in this area.

I'm around- just havent had much to post lately. I did finally shake the cold- thankfully. Mom ended up with pneumonia, but she is better now too.
Carol- it's nice that you get to spend so much time with Ben. I put his picture in my wallet with Syd's. He's adorable.
Eileen- wow I didn't realize dst started so early- well we're almost there then!
Rose- I had to laugh a little at your adventures in snow in Ohio- we do have snow plows! Of course, the year we had 15" of snow, they tried to plow our street with an S10 pickup, and didn't put the plow down all the way. Then he wondered why he got stuck!
We are supposed to get a storm tomorrow and Saturday- they are saying 5-7" for us. so we plan to stay in. Yeah, that's not much snow but for us it is. Hope everyone is doing well. Stay warm & Safe!

Hi Eileen, Carol and All...I have been really busy lately and hopefully coming up for air! Of course we are leaving for FL in a couple weeks...hoping they have some warm weather.
Eileen, yes the Longaberger Buzz was nice this year...at least after we got there. Hit some stormy weather on the way into Columbus and still kind of wondering if they do have any snow plows right Annie! Parked once we got there and didn't pull the car out until we came home. Just got back from Hartford, CT yesterday from doing a training and of course there was some snow overnight in Hartford before we left so it some traffic coming out of Hartford. But after we got out of Hartford roads cleaned up except for being wet. Used about a gallon of windshield washer though and ran out on the Thruway...that was a costly jug, LOL! Sure have to eliminate these trips in the winter.
Ralph is doing well. Stays busy doing things around the house and then just rest when he needs to.
Don't think we will make it to the sneak peak. I have trips to Gettysburg planned in June and August for the basketfest. Of course the CC Gathering at the Homestead in April and the Bee in July (and of course go see our Annie for lunch while we are in Columbus).
Hope all are doing well. I do get on and read so please remember I do think of you all often even though I don't post.

Hi there Eileen...Funny that you posted tonight as I was thinking about you this afternoon and wondering how you were. Funny too that you asked about my bathroom. I haven't been here in awhile...way too depressed and frustrated to post and/or even read some days. My bathroom FINALLY finished yesterday at noon. OMG...what an experience that was. I have never been through a renovation before and don't think I will ever do it again.
The guy was great when he was here but we seemed to spend most of the time sitting here waiting for him to show up. And every time we turned around it was extra money. So glad it's done. It went from "1964 ugly pink" to "2010 totally awesome" in a month. LOL
LOVE my new front window too with the antique pewter grills in them. The only thing I don't like now is the bank balance...or lack thereof...
I'll probably read the board daily now as I have no money to go anywhere. LOL But it was so worth it.
Ben is growing like a weed and a real joy now. Such a cute little guy and smart like his Nana.  ) I have him every Monday and Tuesday afternoon for three to four hours and he stays for dinner. Just enough to really enjoy him....and spoil him.
I am loving this weather too. Don't mind the cold at all. But hate driving in snow and we haven't had any yet. Hard to believe some of the storms you guys are having and we have nothing here. I haven't even wore my boots yet this winter.
Amy, glad you had a nice visit home and sorry that you weren't feeling well.

Well, no posts from my neck of the woods for awhile so I thought I had better check in! ROSE/BARB/CAROL/JOYCE.........how are you gals all doing with this awfully COLD weather? It is the GRAY DAYS that get me down.
ROSE, I am sure you are long back from your Longaberger trip. Hope it was fun! BARB, I am sure you are working like crazy at the hospital. I will be at the hospital right behind you on Friday for my annual Cancer checkup. We need an update on Evan and what he is up to! CAROL, I am betting that your new bathroom is done by now. Perhaps you are still in there soaking in the new tub??? Long time no hear from! JOYCE, are you enjoying that nice new cushiony floor of yours? AMY I do hope that you and all the family are all over the Christmas time colds. They sure are hard to get rid of this year. ELAINE, I am so sorry to hear you have pneumonia, and that RAY is also sick. What a bummer! I sure do hope you can get back on Monday. My GS seems to be having asthma attacks and has been off school these past 2 days. Hard to breath in the extreme cold. SHARON/Hoi, you are miss on the board my dear. I have been thinking about you and hoping you are much better now. Check in and let us know. I do hope 2010 is starting out as a good year for most! Except for the danged medical appts. I have been staying in and keeping warm. I am so happy that Daylight saving time starts as early as Mar 14, as the long dark evenings are so lonely and boring, and I will be happy to have it light out longer!

Good Evening Buddies...Thought I would PoP on in tonight. I have been home since last Friday with pneumonia. Boy!! This has really rocked me. I am on my second antibiotic now.......and hopefully I will be back to work next Monday. All of my sick days will be just about gone.
Even my poor hubby is sick too. I think he has bronchitis. Oh he is sooooooo grumpy. I am trying to take care of both of us. A hard job...but I am bound to take good care of Ray too.

It's another cold but sunny day in Northeast PA. Temp was less than 10 degrees at 8am. Now its up to 16 degrees. Brutal cold weather but at least no snow or ice for now.
