I am requesting a blessing for our prosperity.  My husband has been ill and not working since December 22 of last year.  Thanks be to God we have been managing but this month he is not able to pay the rent and I am disabled.  I feel that making this request shows a lack of faith but we need some help.  I am so glad to be able to make this request here.

FAITH, HOPE AND TAKING CHANCE

Some men search for it all their lives.
Some look a long time, some look a short time.
Some choose not to look for it at all
and thus lose hope and faith in life.

All of us want it, yet some will not take the chance
to find it.
For them, the risk means pain

What a shame that all the world does not know it, for it will
share with young and old, rich and poor, black and white.
The risk is so small, and the gain is so great.
Yet some are still blind to its ways.

The secret
I hope you are healthy, happy, and on top of the world – or at least on the way to getting there. “Help” is a word that needs interpretation. Giving money to a good cause is one way to help, but it's not the only one. Sometimes helping simply means taking the time to listen to someone who’s sharing a hurt, lending someone a helping hand, making an unexpected phone call or sending an email to wish someone good luck, showing compassion to someone in trouble, or even refusing to laugh at a racist joke.

Is someone close to you having a problem? You know the secret: Let them know that help is on the way.
