Comments: Dear Julie and Family, I am very sorry to learn of Brian's passing. Brian was a pleasure to work with and it was an honor to have been able to play a small part in his life. Brian seemed a very genuine person who handled a difficult situation with great dignity. I will always remember him for his courage. My guess is that much of that courage was seated in Brians' knowledge of the love his family had for him. While this has to be a difficult time for you, I know that you will meet your new challenges with the same determination and grace that you showed throughout your efforts to provide Brian with the best care possible. Comments: When I read about Brian in Satch Carlson's introductory editorial in the October, 2008 edition of the BMW Car Club of America's "Roundel" magazine, I looked for and found Brian's Journal on this web site. My father has just been diagnosed with ALS, and it is an inspiration to read Brian's and Julie's accounts of how he and the family coped with the disease. Their courage and their words have given me and my relatives a good perspective on the process of living with ALS. Thank you.
