I first heard of Bang when I seen them on a TV program in the fall of 1972. The show was the Berry Richards show, a program that was on a Washington D.C. show. They did Bow to the King. I know Barry Richards has just release a DVD of the bands on his show. I know Alice Cooper, Bob Seger System and Humble Pie ae on the, but I would love to know if Bang is on it. Had all their albums and now I have the new cd box set.

I loved Bang back when I was a teenager cruising Charlotte, NC in a 67 GTO with my friends in 1973. I'm listening to the 1st album on my vintage 8 track believe it or not as I type this.
Awesome band!!

Man, this band was one of America's greatest bands of all time in my opinion. Their lyrics and songwriting rivals everyone else at the time including Zeppelin.  Their cover of 'No Sugar Tonight' is actually better that the Guess Who original IMO. I discovered them when my girlfriend won the Mother-Bow to the King album from a radio call in contest in '73. She gave it to me and I was an instant fan the first time I spun it. I've listened to them ever since. Unfortunately like other greats such as Badfinger, their career was cut short by mismanagement and greedy record execs. Their music is still sounds as fresh today as it did then. I challenge anyone to listen to 'Keep On' and not to start head banging from the opening riff. Rock on Bang! Your music is timeless.

I found your first "Bang" album at an "Album Collectors Show" in Portland, Maine back in 95. I've since found "Mother/Bow to the King" and I can't seem to get enough. The 4 cd set is just what I'm looking for! Damn,....I wish you guys would do some more shows up here in New England.

A Fan Forever!

I'm 15 and I think this band is great. When I was about 13 I was listening to Black Sabbath and this band showed up in the suggestions list. It was amazing. This is one of my favorite bands of all time!!

Your music still sounds fresh and I've been listening for 40 years.  I fisrt heard you when I was 15 in Newport, Delaware.  I thought I had all your albums until a few years ago when I discovered RTZ on the website.  I used to have a great yellow and red poster of the band.  Any chance of re-releasing it?  Rock on and thanks for the music.

The thing I find most fascinating about the BANG story is that the two frontmen accomplished more before they were 20 than most kids these days who are 30 and won't even get out of their parent's basement! I think it says something about the maturity of previous generations. I'm finding out about so many bands from the 60s and 70s who started recording albums for major labels and touring before they even graduated from high school! Most bands these days don't even get STARTED until the members graduate from COLLEGE! Kids from the baby boomer generation even looked older than kids today--the picture of Frank Ferrara looks like he was 30, and he was probably only 17 or 18! I thought he WAS the member who was 10 years older than the other guys! Bottom line is, kids today don't seem to know what they want even after college. The BANG generation just went out and made stuff happen. My hats off!

Although I was born 20 years after your first release I still enjoy your music to the fullest and the quality of the time you performed in is unbeatable - there were so many great hard rock bands around 1968-1975
Your music inspire me and I'm so glad that you guys did what you did back then!

BANG! Rocks forever.

Cheers.

I have fond memories of listening to this band when I was in high school (29 years ago!).  I was hoping to buy Bang's first album on vinyl.  Other than searching obscure record stores, does anyone know of a link where I might find it?  Thanks in advance!

Wow!  I heard Questions on the radio when it was first released and I knew I had to have whatever album it was on.... I loved the first BANG! album, I never knew about the other albums until I found this website.   I just bought the BANG! album on mp3 at emusic.com and man, does it bring back memories of being a teenager in the early 70s.

Saw the Band every time they played at the Hollywood Fl. Sportatorium. Did a search last year and found this website. Wore out the 8 track tapes in the seventies. I'm 56 now and think back of the classic concerts in the 70's and what went on at the Sporatorium. We were in high school and went to every concert out there no matter who was playing. The BIGGEST NAMES IN ROCK & ROLL played there. But I'll always remember BANG opening the show(s)......they were a tough act to follow as they never dissapointed, and set the mood for a high time. We considered them like "our" local stars. The house lights would go down, the crowd would erupt......and over the P. A. "ladies and gentleman, BANG"  Damn.

This band kicked ass!!  I was the only one in my high school who knew about Bang.  These guys came roaring out of my 6x9's and pushed it to the limit!! I keep telling everybody to this day that Bang was the first real heavy metal band.  I would probably get some feed back from that but listen to them... Nobody sounded like that in the early 70's.  They copied nobody. Sabbath came along with Iron man but I believe that Bang was out there in front, way before their time.  I'm not a rock historian but what other drummer had a double bass??  Exactly!! They came together perfectly and I can't wait to order the disc set!
