Comments: Celia,
Great article in the most recent "Champion". As a D3 coach, teacher, and entrepreneur, my favorite quote of yours that I use in some form or fashion is " It's easy to play hard when the lights are on and the stands are packed, but can you play just as hard when no one is watching?"
It is such a nice breath of fresh air to hear someone advocate a strong work ethic and character development.
Thank you.

Comments: Celia,
In read your article "true measure of success" in Champion. It was really good stuff. I checked out your website and blog. It took me back to my time in Africa with grade school kids, and reminded me of some of the life changing lessons from that experience. Thank you and may God give you true purpose for life.

You probably don't remember me, but I played basketball with you in junior high school for a short time. Anyway! I enjoyed your books! They are great reads! My daughter is reading them now. I only picked the book up because I knew you, but then discovered that they are really great books! I look forward for the next one because i just know you will have something for us. Keep up the good work! You are an inspiration to our young, future adults. We love you!

Comments: Thank you so much for being the wonderful woman you are. I pray that everything you touch continue to turn into 'gold'. You're allowing GOD to use you to encourage, uplift, motivate (and so much more) young people, especially young ladies of color. Please don't stop doing what you're doing. You've made it clear to the young ladies in my family, decendants of my people, know that the sky is truly the limit!
