Unit Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th US Cavalry When and where did you serve with the 1st CAV? Vietnam, Cambodia, Ft.Hood TX 7Mar70-29Jan71 City, State or Country that you live in now? Visalia, CA Comments: I would very much like to make contact with family members of Capt. Johnny N. Ward Jr. who was killed in action in Cambodia on January 16, 1971. I would like to pay my respects and let them know how much Capt. Ward meant to me then, and how much his memory means to me today so many years later. I know that Capt. Ward was married and had children, only youngsters in 1971. I would like to tell them what a truly solid human being that their father was. To Captain Ward's widow, and to his mother and father if, God willing they are still alive, forgive me for not seeking you out until now. I think that I am just now coming home. God bless and keep you. |
